You were running towards the gates of Midtown School of Science and Technology. You were late, again. This was a common occurrence recently, since you had become what the world was referring to as "Black Cat". It was hard adjusting to this new life, going to school and being awaking in the night to keep and eye on the city, and rewind up Spider-Man if you got the chance. You had actually spend last night with Spider-Man, and for once on his side of a fight. You had got hurt pretty bad, and had a bad burn all the way down your arm. Spider-Man had seen it, and of course tried to help you, but you were not some damsel in distress.
Before entering the gates, you saw a camera lay on the side of the path, partly hidden in the longish grass. You swiped it, quickly rushing into the building. The halls were empty, you were so late. You get to your locker and open the door with the combination. Getting your advanced chemistry book, which is the class you should of been in right that moment, you throw it into your bag, and lock the door.
You were already late, so what would a few more minutes matter. You flip the screen on the camera you had found, looking for any photos or evidence as to who it could belong to. What you saw was unbelievable.
It was Spider-Man, in what looked like an airport. But what came after was more shocking. Peter Parker. Peter Parker was Spider-Man? How could you have not known this? You were lab partners. You spend an hour of your day, practically everyday, in advance chemistry talking to him, and you didn't recognise his voice. You turned the footage off, and placed the camera in your bag before running to class.
You walked through the door. "Late again miss y/l/n" your teacher scolded you, as you walking through the lab, passed all the tables. "Sorry it won't happen again" you say, not even looking at her, and just sitting next to Peter. He smiled at you, as you smiled shortly back at him. How could you tell him you knew he was Spider-Man?. All the students were talking, but you never said a word to Peter.
"Are you okay?" Peter asked, looking at you. You stayed looking forward, pretending to be busy, but you could see his face in the corner of your eye. He wasn't buying it.
"Yeah, why do you ask?".
"It's just- you haven't said a word since you sat down. Usually we word on this project together. If something is bothering you, you know you can talk to me" Peter said. How could you not tell he was Spider-Man. He was so selfless, and caring. You sighed, before turning to him.
"I know who you are" you said.
"Yeah, I'm Peter" Peter said confused. You sighed again.
"No. The other you" you said, causing Peters eyes to widen.
"I- I don't k-know what your t-talking about" Peter stuttered, his hand going the the back of his head. He was getting all flustered.
"Don't worry I won't say anything" you said, looking in your bag for his camera. You pulled it out and handed it to him. "I believe this is yours".
Peter sighed in relief. "I was worried this would fall into the wrong hands, thank you so much" he said, putting the camera into his bag safe this time. You nodded.
"It's okay, I understand, I would hate for anyone to find out my secret identity too" you answered. Peter looked at you with a questionable look. You rolled your sleeve up, showing where "Black Cat" got burnt last night. You saw Peter face change from confusion to realisation.
"You're Black cat?" He asked. You nodded, quickly covering your arm again. "Why didn't you tell me?". You looked at him.
"Because I didn't know you was you did I?" You answered.
"Right true" Peter nodded. "Now that you know who I am, nothings going to change when the masks are on?" He asked, referring to your flirtatious nature, and wether you were disappointed knowing it was him you were flirting with.
You smiled. "No Peter. I'm still going to mess with you on a daily occurrence" you smirk, causing him to smile and look down. He was cute.
