Chapter Five: Reborn

After Jack jumps out the window he gets up and feels great, he starts walking towards the school while thinking about that dream, he didn't know what that had been but it made something wake up in him, Jack makes his way without problems to school and as always he gets stares from people, he didn't care about that anymore, he was superior to that now.

Arriving at the school, the atmosphere was different, that previously oppressive environment was now light and calm, before Jack could cut the tension with a knife it was so dense, but now everything was light and calm, the looks of fear did not bother him, he opens his closet and takes some books, he is careless a little and accidentally smashes the closet door, luckily no one notices, his instinct sends a signal and he feels someone approaching, by the smell and noise he easily deduces that it is Zill , Jack smiles and turns around interrupting the chimera that was about to start talking:

Jack: Hey Zill.

Zill: J-jack... hm... look sorry about yesterday, it wasn't right to exclude you like that-

Jack: It's ok

Zill: W-wait, what?

Jack: I told you, I'm cool with it, you made the right decision for me and everyone else.

he says a little mockingly.

Zill: B-but you love to play... and I thought that-

Jack: bro, don't sweat it, I really don't care, it's just a silly thing...

he says from the back as he goes through his closet.

Zill: "Silly thing"? did you put so much effort into it to just accept it and call it silly?

Jack: pretty much yes, there's no need to insist on it, and there's nothing much about it either and to be honest it's pretty ridiculous...

Zill is incredulous at what Jack was saying, he was calling his hard work something silly and ridiculous without caring about anything.

Zill: Jack are you ok?...

Jack: I'm feeling ridiculously good, I feel light and loose...

Zill: I-I see...

Zill did not expect this reaction, he wanted a conversation with Jack, but his preparation was reduced to an "okay, I don't care" he takes a deep breath and says goodbye to Jack and leaves to talk to Kayla who was watching a little from afar.

Kayla: and then?

Zill: W-well...

Kayla: He wasn't sad, was he? Oh god, I better go talk to him...

Zill: N-no, it's just... He said he doesn't care...

Kayla: what?

Zill: he said he doesn't care about that, and said that we did the right thing by taking him out...

Kayla: O-oh... Well... He said that so we can't go against it... But what surprises me the most is him saying that

Zill: So, you know, I thought it was so strange, he looked different... More different than usual...

Kayla: I think this vampire thing is influencing him a lot, maybe we should go talk to him...

Zill: I agree

The bell rings and they break up, Zill gives her a kiss on the cheek, today he was excited, his favorite class, sports.

Everyone in your class gathers in the school's court, the teacher arrives and says that today will be a dodgeball match, they would split into teams and whoever scores 3 points first wins.
