JACKIE'S POV
Everyone that I loved all in one room. My mother was holding Mollie, that's all I really noticed. The whole labor and delivery thing can kind of stress a person out. Per doctors orders I couldn't get out of bed for another hour, but I could drink something. There were a lot of people in the room and Ryan seemed to be getting extremely stressed. My mother could stress anyone out by looking at them long enough. My phone was laying on the side of the bed on the little table.
To Ryan: "i'm overwhelmed"
Ryan looked at his phone and smiled.
"Me too. Is it too early to ask the nurse if we can go home LOL "
"Let's just tell everyone here to go home. I didn't even get 10 minutes with my new family."
Ryan looked at me and and nodded.
"I think Jackie needs some rest, so why don't you all go home and get rest and come back tomorrow and see her."
The room started clear, I closed my eyes and then I drifted off to a deep sleep.
RYAN'S POV
I could sit here in this chair forever, rocking Mollie and watch my everything get some much needed rest. Her eyes lit up when I gave her the bottle, she sucked on it for it a while. The nurse peaked into the room, she saw that I was up with Mollie.
"You haven't slept in days have you, Mr. Lewis?"
I smiled. She was right. I've gazed at the ceiling for hours thinking of what was going to go wrong. All of the worrying for nothing, the birth was perfect. The baby was perfect, my life was perfect. The nurse had to take Mollie out for a couple of tests, the normal baby things. I drifted in the hospital rocking chair.
-30 minutes later-
Ben came in the door. Jovial, excited Benjamin burst through with our coffee.
"Did you give the kid back already?"
Ben handed me my coffee and put Jackie's beside her table.
He hadn't planned to stay, he knew that all of the people were getting on our nerves. The nurse came back with my little princess in the pink blanket. I handed her to Jackie and let her have some time with her mommy.
JACKIE'S POV
She looked like her daddy. The man that I'd met in high school and had been unseperable for ever since. She looked like a baby doll. She was a little doll. I played with her and talked to her for a while. A fist hit the door, more company. Zach, Ryan's manager, came into the room.
"I hope you like daisies, I wanted to be nice but I've never really had a kid and I don't really know what people who just had a kid really like so I brought you these."
I laughed, socially awkward Zach was hilarious.
"Thank you"
He walked over to my side.
"Oh god, she got her dad's face, poor kiddo."
Ryan chuckled.
"I blessed her with a gorgeous face."
The nurse came in.
"Since your baby is perfectly healthy, you can go home later this afternoon."
I smiled. I hate hospitals.
Not even 10 minutes after the nurse left, my mom came in. I could tell that she was getting on Ryan's nerves but what can I say. She took the baby out of Zach's hands. She was such a baby hog. Ryan's parents came into the room and Ryan's dad couldn't wait to get his hands in his precious granddaughter. Ryan's dad sat beside my mom and talked to Mollie.
"Little miss ganger"
Mom tickled her. Ryan's dad looked at me and then at Ryan.
"Is she not a Lewis?"
Ryan looks down at her and looked up at me.
"She is a Lewis, Mollie grace Lewis."
Jackie's mother looked at Ryan
"Excuse me?"
RYAN'S POV
She could gladly be excused, she could get the hell out.
