A car can only drive so fast

(RYAN'S POV)
After trying Jackie multiple times I decided to give it a little rest. I convinced myself that she was going to call me. I walked back in my house and sat down on the couch. I wondered why jackie had left and I wondered if my mother and sister had had anything to do with it.
"Did Jackie mention why she was leaving, she normally tells me bye."
I knew my mom would never do anything hurtful to me but I was pretty sure that she had a bad side. I had never seen her bad side but I've gotten previews before.
"She left abruptly. I don't know why."
One side of me wanted to believe that she was being honest but jackie wasn't like that. Where's was my bye kiss? I didn't even walk her out. I dialed one more time and still nothing.
(JACKIE'S POV)
I was driving fast, really fast. I needed to get away, this wasn't happening. It couldn't be happening. My sister Julianne lived about an hour away, I knew i could vent to her and she would hold me. I realized that I was low on fuel so I made a sharp turn into a quick trip, I got out and pumped my gas and then went in. I grabbed a bag of powdered doughnuts and a Mountain Dew. I stood at the counter with a chocolate bar staring at me. I could get a chocolate bar without Ryan, it was our thing. We split in in half and shared it, always. I got in my car and left. I turned on the radio.
"And now here is Ed Sheeran's latest song titled thinking out loud."
The radio announcer made me shiver. I turned off the radio. I couldn't handle a love song right now. I wondered if Ryan was mad at me, maybe he doesn't want a baby. When Ryan's mom told me to leave I was scared so I left without Telling Ryan bye. I'll decided to call Ryan so I pulled over into an empty parking lot. I opened my purse and scrambled around looking for my phone. I couldn't find it. Probably laying on Ryan's bathroom counter. I was 30 minutes away from Julianne's, I would call Ryan and talk there. For right now the only thing I needed to worry about slowing down and not loosing it, because one more love song was going to push me over the edge.
(RYAN'S POV)
My parents finally left and the house was quiet. This made me really miss jackie. Jackie wouldn't leave like that, something happened. I dialed one more time, that made it 12 times. Jackie would probably be at her apartment so I'll drive over and check on her. Maybe she didn't feel good and decided to go home and get some rest, after all she was pregnant. I couldn't find my keys so I headed into the bedroom and on my way, a light coming through the door crack caught my eye. I walked in the bathroom only to find Jackie's phone laying on the counter. I picked it up.
12 missed calls from Ryan.
I tried to calm down but I knew that jackie wouldn't leave her phone. I grabbed her phone found my keys on the dresser drawer and ran out to my car. I drove to her apartment and knocked on the door. Nothing. I thought I would check to make sure that she didn't pass out or anything. The spare key was in the plant and Jackie let me know that I was always welcome. The apartment was spotless with a bed perfectly made and everything seemed perfect. Jackie was a bit of a neat freak, than again she was never home. She was always staying over at my house, which I didn't mind at all. Staying at home with no one was lonely, I knew it had to be hard for her. I sat down on her bed and thought. I must have drifted to sleep because I was woken up by my phone ringing.
"Babe?"
Oh my god, she was okay. My baby girl was alright.
"I'm right here. Where are you? Are you okay?"
"Ryan I'm at Julianne's I'm fine. Ryan, are you mad at me? "
"What?! No baby. I could never be mad at you. what happen ?"
"Your mom told me I needed to leave, and I left. I Accidentally left my phone on the bathroom counter, I'm sorry. Your parents hate me. I'm sorry Ryan."
"Baby, calm down it's okay. My parents don't hate you, I don't hate you. i love you more than anything."
The other end was silent, jackie was upset.
"Ryan I want you to hold me. Are you at your house?"
" No I'm at yours but it's late babe why don't we just wait until tomorrow and I'll take off and we can meet for breakfast and cuddle all day."
" No, I need you now."
Jackie hung up. I fell back asleep. When I woke up I was under the covers and Jackie was curled up in my arms. I didn't hear jackie come in but I knew it had been a long night for the both of us.
