Hueginkai?
What kind of name was this?
"Hyung!" The shorter boy halted his steps, yelling at the man next to him,
"Fuck Taehyun, how many times do I need to tell you, I AM FUCKING LISTENING"
"What was I saying then?" Taehyun huffed and kicked his foot softly on the floor
Cute, Beomgyu thought.
"About that co-worker of yours, Hueginkai...wait, Hunijkai... Whatever the fuck his name is"
"Hueningkai" Taehyun corrected, still pouting at the older,
"Yes, that!! He's friendly, nice, cute...Whatever and wants to befriend you, but you're hesitant and don't know what to do, that's it, right?"
Taehyun lowered his head and nodded,
Beomgyu was content with the younger asking for his opinion on such a matter, he knew better than anyone how Taehyun felt concerning new people entering his life,
But still, something in him was hoping Taehyun wouldn't befriend that boy,
maybe it's the way the brunette patted his shoulder back then,
Or the way Taehyun smiled at him the way he did to Beomgyu, and only him.
But whatever the reason, Beomgyu wanted to consider Taehyun's personal feelings.
"How do YOU feel about him?"
Taehyun lifted his gaze to meet the few inches taller lad,
How do I feel?
"I...I felt bad for him because he's been trying to talk to me since I joined him."
Beomgyu chuckled at that,
"Not that, I mean do you have a bad feeling about being friends with him?"
"I d..don't know" Beomgyu expected the younger's answer, but not his nervousness.
He placed his palm on the soft red locks caressing them carefully,
"Listen to me Tyun, if you come to think about it, it's you who's making things hard on yourself, let's ignore what you feel about him, okay? If you're considering being friends with him, go for it, and if supposedly, he turned out to not deserve your friendship, leave him and come back to me."
Taehyun listened carefully to the soothing voice, things were maybe never as hard as he thought back then, but again,
He did not have his hyung back then.
Beomgyu took a step back unwillingly but did not think of it much, not as much as the small figure that has just jumped into his arms,
Taehyun had his cheeks squished against the older's chest, arms circling his torso, and soon after, he felt the other's muscular arms wrapped around him.
If only they could stay like this forever.

As Taehyun was on shift that evening, the older tagged along again, but this time with his two older friends,
Yeonjun and Soobin
However, Taehyun had other things to think about, more like someone.
He's been trying to get out of his comfort zone and approach the part-timer, he was afraid the young lad understood it as Taehyun not wanting to befriend him.
Taehyun's head was about to explode with the thoughts, but a voice cut him off,
"Hey, table five ordered more drinks, how long are they planning to stay?" Hueningkai was indeed cheerful, you could tell just by the funny facial expressions he made gossiping about random customers,
Taehyun let out an airy laugh at the male's light joke,
"However, they don't seem that nice, they wanted you to bring them the order, these flirty assholes!! Don't mind them I'll just keep serving them."
Taehyun's laugh this time was more amused, he leaned closer to Hueningkai and asked,
"Which one of them did?"
"Ask for you? Oh, it's the one with long black hair, you see? the one with blonde highlights" Hueningkai shook his head as he lowered the finger he used to point at the said customer,
"And here I thought he looked nice and friendly" The disappointment on Hueningkai's face was what got Taehyun's laugh a bit louder,
He grabbed the drinks and stepped out of the counter, "That's my friend" he muttered with a wide smile before going to complete the task given,
Hueningkai had to budge from his place and take care of other tables as well, fighting back the clear embarrassment on his features,
"Hey, Tyun" Beomgyu's cheerful tone echoed in the cafe as he waved enthusiastically at the waiter coming towards them,
Taehyun smiled lightly placing the three cups for the Chois, his ears soon then caught the 'Thank you's from the friends, not all of them though, Soobin didn't bother,
"Stay with us for a minute, Tyun," Beomgyu said pulling on the younger's peanut brown apron,
"Hyung...You kn-"
"It's alright, I'll take care of the rest" Taehyun heard the brunette from behind, passing by his friends' table,
Taehyun nodded his head lightly, a sign of his gratitude, but he assumes the other missed his barely-noticeable action.
It's alright, though
Taehyun grabbed a chair and sat with the elders, every time he takes a step into their lives, he realizes how similar they are to Beomgyu, they indeed made a great friend group,
Not with Taehyun in, I mean.
Taehyun just sat there staring at the boys enjoying their food, and politely declining Beomgyu's attempts of sharing his food,
Beomgyu, Yeonjun, and Soobin discussed joyfully, nothing important, just joking about this and that, Taehyun did not join their conversation, not as if they left him out, he just wasn't sure if he belonged there,
Yeonjun had a pure soul, Taehyun could tell by the way a smile pulls at his lips every time his siren eyes met Taehyun's round ones,
But the dark-haired next to him, Soobin, as the red-haired could remember, was not having It, The boy's reputation in school never seemed bad, nor was he known as a bully, but right now, Taehyun can see the older somehow...
Somehow...
Glaring at him?
It was a fiercely piercing stare,
'What have I done to him' was occupying Taehyun's mind at the moment, he doesn't remember harming the older in any way possible, but guess, people just have to be mean to him,
That's how it has always been to Taehyun.
