Smoke pours out of the square, and we cough as a shadow appeares in the smokescreen.

The smoke slowly clears. First we see a glint of yellow. Then a wing. Our eyes widen in shock at what we see, unbelieving mouths dropping open.

A dragon. A sleek green dragon with yellow eyes. We turn to eachother."AWESOME!" We shout together. We turn back to the dragon who turns to look at us, eyes blinking in confusion.

The third wide smile I ever made drops at how me and the dragon won't be able to talk to eachother. I turn to Eric, who's still smiling. "No talk. Sad. What if no like me?" I ask, my shoulders heavy with sadness. "Huh? Couldn't you just use truth?" He asks, as if it was obvious. It was obvious, I realized. "Genius!" I say to Eric.
"An shucks." He says, rubbing his nose. But I'm thinking, not listening. I choose my words carefully, making sure to encompass all my desires.

"Any creature can talk telepathically to me within a mile radius. I can telepathically talk to any creature within a mile radius. My dragon servant can telepathically talk to both me and Eric Forthwright within a mile radius, and we can telepathically reply.." And I felt the world warp to comply. While this was happening, I had a thought.

"Hey Eric. Would you like being able to talk to me telepathically?" He turns. "Seriously? That would be awesome!" As if it could, his smile gets wider. I chuckle at his frank reaction. "I and the person to my left can communicate telepathically at the speed of light, regardless of where we are." Another thought pops in my head. "My talent of truth will not activate unless I speak."

The world warps once again.
