For the first time in seven years, I show someone my full-blown smile.
With presents like that, who wouldn't be happy? Well, I mainly am happy that he got me presents at all. It's like we're... "friends." I whisper, my face changing back into shock. "Isaac?" Eric asks, uncharacteristically worried again.
"Friends!" I shout, the joy returning. I smile a second time as I launch into a hug. Eric's hands are hanging useless in the air, where they jumped from suprise. "Friends! Presents! Birthday! Hahahaha!" First time I've laughed in my life that I remeber.
A few seconds later, I jump back, a little embarrassed. Boys aren't supposed to be so open with affection. Eric stares at me for a second, still startled. Then he laughs. I join him after my embarrassment clears, and we roll on the floor laughing for a long time.
