CHAPTER SIXTEEN: THE DAY THAT WAS
---
WEDNESDAY. 8:15 am (...Again)
"Hold on. Hold on the phone. We all died fighting this thing the first time around. Remember?" Klaus said "Klaus, shockingly, has a point. What gives us a win this time?" Diego asked.
But then there was an electricity crackled noise before sudden bright flashing light appeared right above the middel of the bar counter causing you and the others to look up.
Blue light filled the air right above the middle of the bar before Five fell through the light and onto the counter on top of a briefcase.
"Je..Jesus" Allison said as you and everyone else jumped back while Five grunted.
Five had a giant crimson red stain from the side of his shirt and a few spots on his blazer. His hands also had blood on them.
"You guys, am I still high, or do you see him, too?" Klaus asked as you all looked at Five "Nope that's Five" Ethan said.
"Five, where have you been?" Luther asked as Five rolled off the counter and when he rolled off he almost felled to the floor.
"You alright?" Allison asked as she caught him before he could fall.
Allison and Luther grabbed Five's arms, keeping him from falling as they helped him to stand up.
His attention instantly snapped to you, a look of relief washing over his dread filled face. "Y/n" he said, as he was happy over that you were alive again.
Five opened up his arms but instead of you hugging him, you slap him across the face causing him to let out a grunt.
"That hurt" he said as he rub his left cheek where you have just slap him "How do you think I felt after you just left like that, again. After you promise not to leave?" you asked, a little angry "Okay, I deserve that" he said.
You then took a deep breath before you stared at Five. His cheeks were soaked with tears, his eyes red and puffy. Blood covered the majority of his uniform, some spots smudged on his face.
"Holy shit Five, what happened?" you asked.
You stared him up and down confused, trying to see where all the blood was coming from, but as far as you could tell there was no wound.
"What happened?" you asked, searching Five's broken eyes.
His lips started to quiver and a few tears slid down his cheeks as he stared at you.
Before you could even react, Five threw his arms around you, engulfing you into a tight hug. You hugged him back as his body shook slightly, small cries escaping his lips.
"Hey, hey it's okay" you said, tightening your grip on Five.
His cries grew louder as he held onto you like the world depended on it.
