"Most of the facility is powered down." Jenner said as we walked through a hallway. "Including housing, so you'll have to make do here, the couches are comfortable, but there are costs in storage if you like. There's a rec room down the hall that you kids might enjoy. Just don't plug in the video games, okay? Or anything that draws power. The same applies— if you shower, go easy on the hot water."

"Hot water?" Glenn repeated.

"That's what the man said." T-Dog smiled as the two ran past.

Showers were never my favourite thing but, that water felt amazing, my hair was horribly knotted so the water helped to unknot.
After I joined Sophia and Carl happily spectating their game of checkers.

"Any good books?" Lori asked Carol after she finished her long shower.

"Uh-huh. Enough to keep us busy for years." Carol said. "All right. Come on, kids, it's bedtime."

"Baby, go say your prayers. I'm gonna browse a bit." Lori told Carl.

Carol started to walk off with her Daughter, Carl and me following behind. "This is the first night we might actually get some real sleep. It's a miracle, isn't it?"

————————Morning————————————

"Morning." Rick said as he joined us at the table.

"Are you hungover?" Carl asked. "Mom said you'd be."

"Mom is right." Rick smiled sitting down.

"Mom has that annoying habit." Lori said.

"Eggs. Powdered, but— but I do 'em good." T-Dog called walking over with a pan, I put my hand in the air and he came over with a smile putting some on my plate.I looked over as Glenn moaned. "I bet you can't tell. Protein helps the hangover."

"Where'd all this come from?" Rick asked.

"Jenner." Lori answered.

"Could you help me, please?" Glenn groaned as Lori opened the Advil.

"He thought we could use it." Lori said. "Some of us, at least."

"Don't ever ever ever let me drink again." Glenn moaned.

"What the hell happened to you? Your neck?" T-Dog asked Shane as he joined us.

"I must have done it in my sleep." Shane said.

"Never seen you do that before." Rick questioned.

"Me neither. Not like me at all." Shane said.

"Morning." Jenner spoke entering the dark room.

"Hey, Doc." Shane greeted.

"Doctor, I don't mean to slam you with questions first thing—" Dale started.

"But you will anyway." Jenner said.

"We didn't come here for the eggs." Andrea told him.

He brought us to the room with the many computers.

"Give me playback of TS-19." Jenner said to the computer.

"Playback of TS-19." VI spoke.

"Few people ever got a chance to see this. Very few." Jenner said as we looked up at a large screen.

"Is that a brain?" Carl asked.

"An extraordinary one. Not that it matters in the end. Take us in for E.I.V.." He asked.
