i recently finished this series and thought it was good so i thought i'd try it

shaggy blondish brown hair that reaches to her collarbones, monotone expressions, voice is dry and blank as if she doesn't care, 5'5, has a faint scar on her right cheek from a childhood incident that she often tries to hide with her hair, little dimples when she smiles

-personality-
incredibly hard worker, doesn't know how to take a break sometimes, has a hard time meeting new people/making friends, fairly confident in herself though, she enjoys her work and makes it out to be a hobby almost, compassionate, very caring for close family and friends, very stubborn and it can be hard to break open her shell, seems kind of not all there half the time, but she's sweet once you get to know her

anti social, once she opens up she is incredibly unhinged, clumsy half the time, is terrible as time management but excellent at planning somehow

good at writing, journaling, very intelligent in supernatural and demonic aspects, when forced to become the leader she's very good at it, pays almost too much attention to details, paints afterlife dimensions

can travel to heaven/hell/or any other afterlife, all she really has to do is be in a very dark room and close her eyes and hold an important/valuable item for a dead person while meditating into a deep sleep, then she can travel to where they are

has a nicotine addiction, daydreams more often than not

Lockwood himself or Lucy

Adam Patterson (alive but doesn't pay much attention to her, mostly stays in his work office or at his other work place), Lilian Patterson (not alive anymore), Annie Pawlter (her aunt who she speaks to most in all her whole family)

mostly the Lockwood & Co group, has one other friend from school but she doesn't attend very often

-backstory- (TW: parental death)
Ronin was born to Lilian and Adam Patterson, both were highly paid lawyers for celebrities or major serial killers. her mother died when her daughter was only ten due to serious illness. after this, her father suddenly became neglectful to his daughter and stayed in his room a majority of the time.
Ronin learned to become more independent and eventually got a small job at the age of 13 but was fired due to "spacing out" and "daydreaming" too much, her boss not realizing this was her dissociating into other dimensions.
after getting fired, she had no choice but to find a better job at age 15, but no one wanted an inexperienced worker. she met Lockwood in a library, where he was finding books about ghost history. they began talking for several minutes and he decided to hire her to see if her powers were legitimate.
she held a military veteran's badge, and she dissociated. at first the team believed she was only faking it, but Ronin proved them wrong by painting a detailed image of hell with her eyes closed and while mumbling words.
they hired her on the spot.
