Awakening the Dawn

From my despair, I found a flicker of hope,

A glimmer of light, a chance to break free and cope.

I was lost in the shadows, drowning in my past,

But I made a choice, to let go and make it last.

I traded darkness for the dawn, dived into the unknown,

Leaving behind the life I once had known.

With every step forward, I felt my spirit rise,

Choosing the light, bidding my old self goodbye.

I'm breaking free from the chains that held me down,

Dancing in the light, leaving darkness behind, I've found,

I'm not defined by the mistakes I've made.

I'm choosing a new future, where my soul won't betray.

The road ahead is uncertain, but I'm filled with Purple Haze,

A new strength, guiding me to a better place.

I shed the weight of regrets, the burden of my past,

Living in the present, a chance to make it last.
