"Lauren Michelle!" We heard our mother scream and we all stopped laughing.
We heard footsteps and Lauren immediately tensed up.
"How many times have I told you not to do this?" She asked holding up an empty tea bottle.
Lauren shrugged.
"Don't drink my tea!" She screamed and threw the bottle at Lauren who held her arms up to cover her head.
She put them back down and started laughing.
"Hey Mom I have a question," I said before she got a chance to leave.
"If it's something stupid-"
"It's not." I shook my head.
She nodded, motioning for me to go on.
I inhaled.
"Why did you choose to make my middle name like Lauren's?"
She furrowed her eyebrows.
"What do you mean?"
I fidgeted in my seat.
"Her middle name is Michelle and mine's Danielle. They both end in e-l-l-e."
She made an O with her mouth and shrugged.
"I don't know, I just like those names."
I nodded and let her go back to wherever she was.
Chris came home three hours later with a different girl.
"Hey guys this is Cali," he said.
We introduced ourselves and began to talk. We talked for a while before I pulled Chris into another room.
"Whats up?" He asked me leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest.
"What happened to Elena?"
He sighed. "We broke up Emily."
"What, about a week ago?" I said.
He sighed. "Just back off. You wouldn't know what a committed relationship is even if it hit you in your face."
"Yeah, and apparently you don't either," I snorted and he just glared at me.
I inhaled. "You're right Chris, because I'm only eleven years old. Your sixteen therefore you've been in more relationships than I have. I wouldn't be surprised if you ever were."
He rolled his eyes. "Just back off Emily. How long have you and Drew been dating?"
"Three weeks and he's my first boyfriend," I snapped back.
"Look, I don't care about you and Drew, or how many boyfriends you've had. Stay out of Cali and I's business and relationship," he said and walked off.
I sighed and grabbed a water before heading back into the living room where the girls were laughing at What Cali said.
Deciding on wanting to be alone, I went up into my room where I received a text from Drew.
From Drew:
Hey Emily, what's up?I texted him back.
To Drew:
Nothing, just bored. You?From Drew:
Same, but I'm about to save myself from a certain death by boredom.I furrowed my eyebrows and texted him back.
To Drew:
What?From Drew:
Look outside your window 😉
