"Okay class you have a big assignment that will be due at the end of the year," my English teacher said.
"It will count for half of your semester grade." she started handing out papers.
The guy in front of me handed me the papers and I took one passing it back to Sarah.
I started reading the piece of paper filled with words.
"For this assignment you will write a ten page paper on any topic you want."
Everybody groaned.
"You have to tell me what it will be about before the end of the month."
"So it can be about anything?" Drew asked.
"Yes," she replied. "But it has to be school appropriate."
When she finished passing out papers, the bell rung.
I stood up and gathered my things, students immediately dispersing into conversations about the paper.
"Do you know what your doing your paper on?" Drew asked me as we walked out of the classroom.
I shrugged.
"Not really, you?"
He inhaled.
"Um, I don't know. Maybe sports or something."
I nodded as we sat down at the table already occupied by Sarah and Drake.
"So what's your favorite sport?" I asked and we sat down.
"Baseball," he said.
I smiled. "You look like a baseball player."
He smirked at me as Delaney sat down.
"What's up kids?" She asked.
"Nothing much," we replied.
"So how's the lovely couple going?" Drake asked taking a drink of his water.
Sarah choked on her drink.
"Couple?" She asked and looked us.
"You two are together?" She said louder. Some kids turned to look at us.
Delaney looked at her. "Girl where've you been?"
"It's cute when you blush," Drew said making me blush even harder.
I heard a click go off.
"Stop!" I whined burying my head in Drew's neck.
He wrapped his arm around my waist as we finished lunch.
I spent the rest of the school day thinking about what I could do my paper on.
"Hey do you want a ride?" Delaney aske me.
I smiled at her and nodded.
She was driving, and Drake was in the passenger seat leaving Drew and I in the back.
She didn't take me straight home. Instead, we went to Dairy Queen.
"Thanks for the ride and the blizzard," I said as I got out of the car.
"No problem," she said and I shut the door and walked inside my house.
"How was school?" Lauren asked.
I sat my book bag down and took a bite out of my cookie dough blizzard.
"Good."
"Ohh I want a bite," Lauren said and I handed her my blizzard.
"Can I have a bite?" Ally asked and I nodded.
"I want one!" Camila, Dinah, and Normani all yelled in unison.
They passed the blizzard around until it made it back to me.
I sat down beside Camila and continued to eat it, her stealing a bite here and there.
"I have to write a ten page paper," I said getting up and throwing the empty cup away.
"On what?" Ally asked.
"I don't know yet," I said honestly. "She said it can be about anything."
They nodded.
"I know what you should do it about," Dinah smirked.
"What?" I asked.
Her an Normani looked at each other before yelling, "Beyoncé!"
We just laughed.
"No, I think I'm good," I said flipping my hair out of my face.
"You know, you're really mature for your age," Camila said.
"Thanks." I smiled at her.
"How old are you?" Dinah asked.
"Eleven," I responded not looking at her.
"So when is your album going to drop now?" I asked changing the subject.
They all sighed. "February 3rd."
I nodded.
"So how are things with Drew?" Lauren asked making me blush but I couldn't contain the smile that appeared on my face.
"Things are great. They're amazing. Drew is so sweet and down to earth."
She smiled at me. "Good."
"How long have you two been dating now?" Normani asked.
"About two weeks," I replied.
"He better be good to you," she said.
I smiled.
"Don't worry ya'll already took care of that."
All five girls, my dad, Chris and Taylor all gave Drew the talk.
"So what do you wanna do?" Lauren asked me.
I smirked and grabbed my math book from my back pack sitting it in her lap.
"I want you to do my homework."
She laughed. "That's funny Em, really funny."
She opened the book and flipped it to the page I was on.
"How many problems do you have to do?" He asked looking over the pages of fractions.
"One to twenty five," I replied and she nodded.
"I won't do it for you," she said flipping her hair out of her face to look at me. "But I will help you."
I smile and moved over beside her, making Normani move over to the other couch.
The girls all helped me with my math, science, social studies and music homework, in which they made the music homework fun by singing the notes in the right key to help me.
I was always more of a hands on learner.
"Finally," I said tossing the book back into my backpack.
I leaned back on Lauren and Ally as they ran their hands through my hair.
"Can we watch a movie?" I asked snuggling into Lauren's chest.
"Sure," she said.
Halfway through the movie, I started to fall asleep.
"Goodnight Emily," Lauren said and I felt her kiss my temple on my forehead before I fell asleep.
