"Is this legal?" Kristen asks her teammates, "Like are they allowed to auction the guys off?"

"I mean it's for charity," Sophia responds.

"I mean I guess," Kristen argues, "It's kind of predatory if you think about it. Like your mom could buy a date with a guy you go to high school with."

"It's not a date, they just get them for the night. Besides it could be worse. We could be the ones getting auctioned off," Sophia states. Kristen sighs as she sits on the makeshift stage in the gymnasium. Her eyes drift to her teammate who was diligently writing in a notebook.

"Is Val doing homework?" Kristen asks in a soft tone. It was a Friday night and while Val was studious, she wasn't that studious.

"Why don't you ask her?" Morgan says as she leans over Kirsten's shoulder, "Hey Scott, what you writing?"

"Nothing," Valentina responds instantly.

"She's writing nothing," Morgan states.

"That doesn't look like nothing," Kristen says as she makes her way over to Val and leans over her shoulder, looking at the loopy cursive that was taking up the page.

"Oh, I've heard all about you," Kristen reads aloud and the notebook closes with a slam. Valentina looks over her shoulder at her teammate. Kristen points in the opposite direction and quickly walks away from Valentina.

"She's writing nothing," Kristen repeats Morgan's earlier words, causing her to laugh.

Valentina had been really inspired as of late. The source of her inspiration? Well, that was yet for her to discover.

The boys enter the gym laughing and they make their way over to the girls gathered by the stage.

"What's she up to?" Nathan asks as he nods toward his sister.

"She is writing," Kristen answers.

"Writing what?" Nathan asks.

"Something about hearing about someone," Kristen states. Nathan's brows furrow at that but he shakes his head, pushing past the topic and onto the real reason her came over to talk to his sister's teammates.

"I need your help with something," Nathan states, "I want to auction Val off."

"Yeah, there's no way she'd agree to that," Kristen responds.

"That's why we're not going to tell her," Nathan says, "Val's like one of the hottest girls at school, people would pay loads for her."

"You do realize that you're pimping your sister out, right?" Kristen asks.

"It's not like that," Nathan states, "Ever since we went to the Classic, Val's been kind of – off. I mean she's constantly in her notebook and so I think this would be fun. Might get her out of her head a bit."

"Your plan is shit," Kristen says, "But I feel like your heart is in a good place so I will help you with your plan."

Nathan smiles at Kristen, "Thanks."

"Don't mention it," Kristen says as Nathan walks away, "Like ever!"

Nathan looks over his shoulder and laughs at her and Kristen rolls her eyes.

The auction begins later that night and the boys (sans Lucas and Tim) truly put on a show. Haley bids on Lucas for Brooke who doesn't have the cash to buy her boyfriend, while Peyton bids on Nathan for "old times' sake." When the auction is nearing its end, Nathan takes the microphone from Whitey while Kristen works on getting Val near the stage.
