No One's P.O.V.
Zayn and Lauren started their walk over to the camp. "I'm still hungry," Lauren moaned, rubbing her stomach.
"Got some quarters?" Zayn questioned digging in his pockets waiting for Lauren's answer.
"No, but I have a few bucks." She shrugged counting the bills she had.
"Instead of something greasy how about we eat vending machine foods." Zayn opened the gate to the path of the camp leading them both in the direction of the director's house.
"What are you doing?" Lauren shouted loud enough for him to hear, but soft enough for just the both to hear.
"I'm sneaking into the house, duh." He felt around in the soil in the pot near the door. Once his fingers touched something cold and metal he pulled it out, unlocking the door. "Welcome to casa de Neil. I've been working on my Spanish," Zayn bragged, stepping inside the house making sure no one heard his light steps on the creaking floor. He waved for Lauren to come inside only for her to reject his offer. She had been caught doing multiple things here when she was young but she was not about ti get caught breaking and entering. Zayn mouthed the words 'wuss' knowing Lauren would crack soon enough. She shook her head quickly mouthing back 2 simple words 'am not'. He tried once more resting his hands on his hips while rotating in a circle, and moving his neck back and fourth. Imtating a chicken would definelty push Lauren over the top.
"Ugh!" She huffed walking in, irrated that she had fallen into this trap. "What are we going to do here?"
"Find the café keys. He usually keeps everything in the open like in the kitchen but other things would have the privillege of being in his secret room." He pointed to the door infront of him, "Got a bobby pin?"
Lauren went through her bun to find a bobby pin holding everything together. Her hair fell down her shoulder causing Zayn to watch her. "Here." She gave him the pin.
"Thanks," He mumbled jiggling the pin inside the lock. Once a click was heard from the door he removed the pin, opening the door. "That's how it's done."
"Good job, Malik. Now what?" She walked inside the room looking at the pictures on the wall. She walked towards the picture of the camp before they had decided to remake some of the cabins and move some things around.
"We search for the keys." Zayn turned around giving all his attention to Lauren. He watched her admired the picture, that's what he loved about her the most. The fact that she could admire the littlest things in life. He walked over to her admring the picture himself.
"Isn't it nice? I liked this verison of the camp better." She looked at Zayn happily.
"You mean you don't like that awesome salad bar?" He earned a soft laugh from Lauren, "Or even the new art department?"
"Don't get me wrong both of them
are pretty awesome, but the old camp has my heart. I would love to have this picture," She walked to the other pictures observing the one of Neil and Zayn. "Come over here." Once Zayn was near her again she pointed to the picture.
He smiled from ear to ear recalling the day the picture was taken. "That was when Neil offered me the job way before I had to quit when we started our tour again. That was our last summer.." His smile faded.
"If it helps it was the best summer ever," She rubbed the palm of his hand trying to comfort her boyfriend. "That was the summer you told me how you felt about me."
"Yeah I remember. You didn't say it back at first if I recall correctly. It broke my heart," Zayn pouted trying to get simpathy from Lauren.
"Oh shut it and lets look for the keys." Lauren laughed, walking near the desk filled with papers. She moved all the papers finding a key, "I think i found it."
