Y/n sat on the floor after she poured water into her glass. The cold floor sent shivers up her spine. She let out an exhausted sigh. Right now, Colin was long gone into dreamland.

She exhaled as she felt the coldness travel from her throat to her chest as she drank the water. Her heartbeat slowed down as she relaxed against the cabinet doors.

That man... looked so familiar. His eyes. Was he the same man she was dreaming about? She looked down, counting the tiles trying to forget about him. She scolds her mind to think about him like this. Thinking about the man she barely met while her boyfriend slept like a baby, unaware of the troubles Y/n is going through.

But he looked at her like he recognized her too. Does he dream about her too? She wanted to ask him if they had met before. No. It couldn't be. She could have remembered someone like him. He is not someone who you could just forget about. His soft green eyes, his scars, and his crooked smile. Y/n frowned. She never saw him smile. How does she know what his smile looks like?

Remus restlessly tossed and turned in his bed. He finally met her, or at least, he hopes he has met her. No way Colin's girlfriend is the girl who keeps appearing in his dreams. This was wrong. But he couldn't forget how she looked at him like she recognized him. Did she dream about him too?

He quickly shook his head. Colin is his superior. He shouldn't think about his girlfriend like this. But her name kept echoing in his brain. Her eyes, her touch, it all felt like a deja vu.

Remus ruefully chuckled at the cards fate had dealt to him. He could only wish she was not the girl in her dreams. But deep down, he knows. He knows it's her.

He couldn't help but indulge in the imagination of how she would look like sleeping beside him. His mind had easily painted the picture for him as if it was second nature.

Now he had another reason to hate Colin. He was able to feel her in ways Remus could only wish for. He felt a familiar tightness that his body liked the imagination too well. But before Remus could indulge more, he immediately stopped. No point in tempting fate what is not meant to be.

Remus turned again, adjusting his pant and holding the pillow close. He knows even if his brain forgets about her, his conscious will never.

With the sunrise, Y/n was back to her routine, bothered by a vivid dream that involved the stranger. She watched as Colin kept blabbering about his colleagues. She wondered if she could ask about that man if he even bothered enough to know his name.

With a sweet smile, she sat beside him and asked, "Colin, who was that distressed man I was helping before you called me in?"

He frowned in confusion, trying to remember who is she talking about. "Uh...who are you talking about?"

Y/n restrained a sigh as she asked, "That man who I had to drag to our garden, who was having trouble breathing."

A look of realization passed his blue eyes. He mockingly chuckled. "Oh... him? That was Remus Lupin. His work ethic is good. But gosh! he's such an idiot."

She clenched the fork tightly as his laughter echoed in the room. She didn't know the man, but Y/n knew Colin enough that Remus didn't deserve this.

But she couldn't focus on Colin's antics as her brain repeated the name she had heard.

Remus Lupin

It suited him so well. Y/n couldn't help but smile, eager to say his name. To see how it feels to say his name.

After Y/n completely tuned Colin out. She was rethinking her life choices as Colin munched on the toast without a care for the crumbs falling on the table. Fear slowly settled in as she realized what was happening. No, she had promised to try harder to maintain her relationship with Colin.

Guilt filled her heart as she couldn't stop thinking about Remus. Y/n was so lost in thought she didn't realize it when Colin left home. Her trance only broke when she realized Colin had left his tiffin. She quickly grabbed her keys to drop his tiffin at his office.
