Chapter 7 - helping out

Leon woke up with a smile on his face and almost immediately got up and went downstairs for some breakfast. He saw Bandit, who was preparing Bluey and Bingo's breakfast in a hurry. "Come on, kids, dad has to get to work!" "I'm trying to eat my cheese and jam sandwich!" Bluey said, "Well, hurry up then." Leon came in and greeted Bandit. "Good morning, Leon. I'm afraid you will have to make your own breakfast. I'm in a big rush. Remember playing with the kids today? Ok, bye everyone," Bandit said while grabbing his bag and leaving the room. Yay, Leon gets to play with us!" Bingo shouted, "You know what? Breakfast is overrated. I can skip it. Let's play some games!" Leon said as he and the two girls went to the playroom.

NOTE: as there will be a lot of talking in this chapter, from now on I will just refer the actions that the characters make.

Leon, Bluey, and Bingo all entered the playroom and discussed what games they would play. They thought about keepy uppy, but Leon said it would disturb Bandit upstairs. They eventually decided on bus grannies, so Leon made the bus for them and became the bus driver. They played for about 40 minutes and laughed a lot. After that, Chilli called all of them out to help with some chores; Bluey and Bingo emptied the dishwasher while Leon was tidying the playroom. Growing up in a strict household, He was constantly doing chores and had done them so much that he was a pro at them. So he did the playroom, then hoovered the living room, then deep-cleaned the bathroom, and finally dusted and tidied his bedroom All within 2 hours. Chilli came back in and called everyone for lunch, When She saw how nice the house looked. she was absolutely stunned and asked who did it, Leon walked in with an empty plate from the chicken sandwich he made. and told her all of the chores he did. Chilli was so thankful that she gave Leon a hug and told him how much this meant to her. They all sat down for lunch, and Bandit came down the stairs to join them. Bandit was also very impressed by Leon and how he cleaned the house.

Bingo and Bluey were outside in the backyard playing with Lucky and Judo; Chilli was out for a jog; and Leon and Bandit were on the couch watching cricket. After about an hour or so, Bandit got up and said he would start making dinner, but Leon insisted that he would do the cooking, as he was always doing food at his old house and was very good at it. So Leon got to work and started preparing a roast dinner. A while passed, and Bandit was hearing all sorts of noises from the kitchen, so he went to see what it was. He saw Leon, who was hard at work preparing all of the potatoes and had everything else on the hob cooking all at once. Leon seemed like he was having no trouble at all, so Bandit walked away and left him to it. After 2 hours, he set the table, put dinner down, and poured some wine for Chilli and Bandit.

He called everyone in for dinner, and they all saw a beautifully made roast that looked so delicious. No one said a word, and they all dug into the food. 3.5 hours of work, gone in 17 minutes. Bandit thanked Leon, as he would have done the cooking and wasn't really good at it. Chilli said that was the best meal she had this month. Bluey and Bingo said they really liked it too, but they were annoyed that there was no ice cream to top it off. And everyone went to sleep that night with a full stomach. Leon sat in bed very happy with what he did today and really felt like he was very helpful. He dreamed that night about being on dog Masterchef.

But then we cut to a campfire, and a dog is sitting there poking at the fire, but it looks very ruff and has lots of scratches all over its face. Next to the dog was a name tag on the floor. The name tag belonged too...
