The screen lit up to display the city of San Fransokyo and its many skyscrapers.
On one of the tall buildings, Hiro was sat staring at the lively city below, the moon shining on him.Aunt Cass inhaled sharply, as did Tadashi.
"Hiro...why are you that high up?""How did you even get up there?" Said Tadashi, his forehead creasing with worry.
Hiro couldn't help the spark of irritation that began to fester.
(Are they gonna be like this the whole way through?)
"That isn't even me! I don't know how he got there!"Honey Lemon and the rest of the gang looked away from him knowing full well that even in their current timeline, Hiro knew how to get up on very tall buildings.
A fact that would undoubtedly give Aunt Cass and Tadashi a heart attack. The screen panned in to show Hiro's face, eyes staring blankly ahead. His left brow had a slit across it that went from under Hiro's hairline and continued down till it rested just above his left eye.
The room winced, wondering how he had gotten that scar.
"Cool scar, dude!" Said Fred, grinning. "D'you think you got it fighting villains?"
Hiro offered back a hesitant grin.
"Thanks?"
(Either villains or bot fighting. )His gaze grew pensive as he stared at the version of him on the screen.
(I look taller.)Suddenly, a boom could be heard in the distance, followed by a bright orange and red burst of flame erupting from a nearby building.
"Woah!" Fred commented, wide-eyed.
"I really hope there's no one in there," said Honey Lemon.
Aunt Cass had a strained expression on her face as she watched the screen, then she turned to Hiro.
"Why do I get the feeling you're going to run towards that building?""That would be stupid," commented Tadashi, eyes drilling a hole into Hiro's petite form.
He scowled as newfound irritation washed over him.
(Where does he get off saying something like that?)
"You don't get to say that," Hiro mumbled, words going unheard by Tadashi.Gogo's eyes narrowed at Tadashi.
"Yeah, that would be very stupid."Callaghan frowned slightly, a tiny bit of guilt nibbling at the edges of his conscience.
Hiro, getting up on his feet, heaved a tired sigh.
(Great. Just when I thought I would be getting the night off.)A number of people jumped as they heard his voice despite no lip movements.
Hiro shrank in his seat, groaning.
Great. Not only were they watching him, they'd also be hearing his thoughts.Despite his amusement at the situation, Tadashi couldn't help but be a bit nervous. Thoughts were private, and he didn't know just how censored a teenage mind would be.
Hiro twisted an object on his wrist, seemingly fiddling with it.
Then without warning, he began running towards the edge of the building."Hiro?" Came Tadashi's voice, a low warning.
Meanwhile, Aunt Cass sat eyes wide as a saucepan as she stared at what appeared to be an incoming train wreck.
"He's not gonna do it," Krei commented in disbelief, eyes glued to the screen.
Hiro smirked, though he quickly hid it when he saw Callaghan and a few others looking his way.
(I'm gonna do it.)
