A World Without Green: A Ninjago Movie Story

Chapter 2: Awakening

Kai, Zane, Jay, Cole, and Nya all groaned as they woke up.  They looked around to see something...strange.  It didn't look like they were in some type of different location.  It looked more...familiar.

"Uh...Zane...?" Kai started, "I know this is stupid, but...where are we?"

"Scanning." Zane answered.

He then began to turn his head 360.  Despite having been by the robotic teenager's side for so long, the team could still find it just creepy.  Soon, Zane's head stopped turning.

"Although my sensors to satellites have been...complicated..." he paused, "...my cameras apparently say that we're in...Ninjago City."

Everyone stared at the robot, hoping he was wrong.  They just couldn't believe it.  Everyone took a look around, yup it was definitely home.  They just didn't know what to do.  Well, it definitely confirms that its not really fatal.

"Well, let's just simply go to Sensei Wu and report this to him." Kai suggested.

"Wait, has anyone seen Lloyd?" Cole asked.

Everyone looked around.  No sign of Lloyd.  They figured that he must've escaped from its grasp, assuming it was still in the cave.  They then decided to go to Sensei Wu's house.  It seemed very quiet as they ran through the whole city.  Hardly anyone was out on the streets.  

The idea dropped from their heads once they reached Wu's boat and their old ninja base that was restored after everything happened.  However, something was very wrong.  The entire base was destroyed, just like back then.

"What the?!" Jay shouted, panic on full volume in his voice.

"What's going on?!" Kai demanded.

"It's like everything's...happened all over again." Nya said rather slowly.

"Uh, guys?" Cole's voice sounded, "You guys have got to see this."

Kai, Zane, Jay, and Nya all turned behind them to see Cole pointing at a statue of...them.  It was the entire ninja team.  But something's wrong, Lloyd was not there.  They thought of it being weird.  

"Here, read this, Zane." said Cole, pointing at a sign on the statues' pedestals.

In Memory of the Secret Ninja Force who did everything they could to-

The rest seemed to have fallen apart.

"What does mean that we did 'everything'?" asked Kai.

"I don't know.  But this definitely wasn't here and..." Cole answered.

"Zane, any ideas?" asked Nya.

"Two theories but require more data." Zane answered.

The group stood there for awhile.  They just couldn't understand what was going on.  Suddenly, an idea poppe in their head: Koko, Lloyd's mother.  They immediately took off.

It didn't take long to find Koko and Lloyd's address.  They soon snuck through the hotel.  There, they found Koko's apartment.  Kai was first to knock.

"Coming." said a voice from behind the door.

Soon, they saw that it was in fact Koko.  They were relieved but were confused once she looked shock.

"Something wrong-?" Kai started.

Everyone felt her pull them into the apartment.

"What's going on, LID?" asked Nya.

Koko suddenly put on a confused look on her face, then was suddenly replaced by a freaked-out one.  Those were the initials of her other persona: Lady Iron Dragon, Nya's hero.  She immediately grabbed Nya by the neck and pinned her against the wall with pure force.

"How did you know that?!" she demanded.

"Calm down, LID!" Nya choked.

"Let her go!" Kai demanded.

Koko calmed down and let Nya go, who gripped her throat with shock.

"What just happened?" Kai asked.

"I...I-I don't know...I'm sorry...I-I just..." Koko stammered.

Koko then said that it'd be best if everyone were to fully calm down.  Despite the apparent excitement, the ninja all agreed.  At some point, they heard a knocking sound and a familiar voice came along.

"Comeing, honey." Koko said.

Everyone assumed it was some new boyfriend of Koko's or something, although, Lloyd would've mentioned something like that by now or something like that.  They turned to see Garmadon.  Although, his looks matched himself when they were in their office jobs.  His hair was back, and his suit was more civillian-like.

"Hey, Koko," his voice then turned to them, "ah...I see you have...the group."

Everyone turned to him in confusion.  Those pauses, they meant something.  

"I forgot I was going to take them for awhile." said Garmadon.

Everyone looked at each other then at Koko, who looked more confused than them somehow.  The group decided to just go along with the plan and nodded.  They finished their dinner and followed Garmadon.  He looked over his shoulder.  His face suddenly turned dark.

"You remember the plan?" he asked.

"Huh, uh, yeah." Cole lied.

"Perhaps we could go over it again just so there's no..." Kai started.

Garmadon then opened a door, and the next thing the ninja could see was smoke in sections of the city.  It looked like the city was in some sort of...huge crime wave.

"...mistakes." Cole ended slowly.

The ninja didn't like this.  Suddenly, they turned to see a huge picture that had...Wu's face on it.

Somehow, the hole world had thought that they were...dead.  The group turned slowly to where Garmadon was, only to see a dark figure come after them, before they could even attack, it punched them, knocking them all out cold, with one single punch.  Then everything went black.
