Back in Metropolis, Clark smiles and leaves his house, ready to go to Wayne Manor. He smiles as he takes off, flying is much faster than driving anyway. Clark smiles as he flies off, looking at the lights that illuminate the city. He flies for around forty-five minutes before arriving in Gotham. He flies over to Wayne Manor and lands at the front door. He calls Bruce to let him know that he's outside but, doesn't get an answer. He decides to just go in through a window. Clark goes around, looking for an unlocked window, with little to no luck. He sighs as he comes across one last window. It's a big window, the other side of it covered by curtains. He tries the window and surprisingly, it's open! Clark pumps his fist, happy he finally found a way inside.

Once he steps inside, he's met with a dark hall. "Man, sure is dreary in here." He mutters as he wanders around, looking for Bruce. Clark wanders the halls. He opens doors and explores Wayne Manor. "Dude, this place is huge. How does Bruce stay here by himself? Well...I guess he's got Alfred and sometimes a Robin but man!" He quietly exclaimed as He came across another door. He opens it, only to be met by a bedroom. It was too dark to see if anyone was in there so, Clark uses one of his powers and looks around. He sees a figure laying in the bed. He quietly walks over and looks to see whose room this is. "Bruce?" Clark asks, seeing the black hair on the pillow. He was met by a punch that he barely dodges. "Wow, okay. You're definitely Bruce." Clark says while laughing.

Bruce rubs his eyes and glares at the man in front of him. "Clark, why did you come all the way to Gotham?" Clark rubs the back of his neck as he sees Bruce scowling.

"I was just too bored, and you technically said I could do whatever I wanted so...here I am." Clark chuckles, making Bruce pinch the bridge of his nose.

"How'd you get in again?" Bruce questions

"Oh. there was a window left open, so I invited myself in." Clark smiles. Bruce sighs and mentally facepalms

"Right, I forgot I left that open for you." Clark's eyes widen in shock. Bruce left a window open for him so he could get inside. "I didn't want to make it too easy for you to come inside, and I didn't want you to come all the way here for no reason."

"Bruce, you're so good to me!" Clark exclaims as he puts his hand on his chest, acting dramatic. "So. what do you want to do? We could go around Gotham, watch TV, just talk, get some snacks-" Bruce holds his hand up, telling Clark to stop talking.

"Clark, why don't we just get snacks and watch television, okay? I'm only human, I surprisingly do sleep."

"Okay! Let's go get snacks then!" Clark says as he leaves the room. Bruce trails behind him, observing his every move.

Clark liked to touch things and explore. No wonder he acts like a kid in a candy shop when he's here. Bruce thinks to himself as they continue walking down to the kitchen. Once they got to the kitchen Bruce grabbed out food and made a charcuterie board for the two of them.

"So, Bruce. What kind of movie do you want to watch? You seem to have quite the..." Clark looked over at the wall stacked with movies, "extensive collection here."

"Choose something as long as it's calm. I don't want to watch anything with too much going on." Bruce placed down the snacks. "Right! Would you like a drink at all, Clark?"

"I'll just have water, thank you," Clark states while looking through the movies Bruce has. Bruce nods and walks back into the kitchen to grab the drinks.

Clark finds a movie just as Bruce walks back in with the drinks. "Bruce, this one doesn't have too much dust on it. Seems like you watch this one more than the others. We could watch this one!" Clark says as he holds up the movie It's A Wonderful Life. Bruce's eyes slightly widen and he nods.

"Yeah. I watch that one...more than the others." He sets the glasses down and grabs the movie. "We can watch it if you'd like. It's not a bad movie."

"Yeah, let's watch it! I want to see what this movie's about, seeing that you watch it more than the others." Bruce nods and sets everything up. He inserts the DVD and the screen lights up. Bruce grabs his remote and sits down on the couch. Bruce skips the commercials and presses play on the disc.

"So, what's this movie about, Bruce?" Clark asks.

"You'll find out once you start watching it," Bruce responds, his normal harsh voice sounding softer than usual. "I usually watch this around Christmas but I guess now will have to do." Bruce leans back against the couch and rests his head. Clark looks over at him, wondering why he watches it around Christmas time but doesn't ask. Bruce has had some hard times and Clark doesn't want to pry.

Getting to the halfway point in the movie, Bruce starts to drift off to sleep. His eyes flutter open and shut before his body finally gives in to the exhaustion. Clark notices him as he fell asleep and scoots closer so Bruce's head can rest on his shoulder.

Hey! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It was...a lot longer than the first part but still super fun to write! I have a headcanon that Bruce watches It's A Wonderful Life every Christmas just to be reminded that he's still doing good in the world because he can't always see that around the time of his parents' death anniversary.
