You and Banban had dedicated an hour or so each day to talking about some of the events that happened with Flynn in more detail. It had been difficult for him to revisit those memories, but it was getting easier each day. Banban said that finally talking about the things that happened was helpful.

You felt a little bad though, you weren't a therapist, there was only so much you could do. Beyond talking with him, listening, and offering the comfort you could when he started to panic.

Most of the others were acclimating to life outside the facility quite well. Jumbo, Chamataki, and Tamataki were confined to the overgrown yard, though Jumbo was certainly trimming the overgrowth down quickly. You over the past couple weeks you had to make several trips outside, you had been confronted on several occasions by your neighbor.

Karen was the definition of why the trend started using the name as an insult. She was very nosy, and made several rude and unnecessary comments. She also threatened to call the HOA over every damn minor inconvenience. She clearly sure that something was up with you, a few days ago Karen had remarked that you were bringing home an awful lot of groceries for one person.

Her most recent comments revolved around how you needed to get permission from the HOA to have more than four animals in your house. Quite frankly, you weren't a big fan of this neighborhood anyway. You had planned out the trip and told the others that they'd have to follow you to your parents old house, it was decently secluded, and large enough to allow for everyone to have a lot more space.

You checked your phone 9:00pm, perfect hopefully Karen wouldn't be snooping around right now. You drove down the road with the same arrangement of passengers as before. You reached a gas station, lights were flashing down the road, the mascots quickly ran and hid behind the gas station.

Two cars pulled up, Karen stepping out of hers, "Right here officer! This is the man illegally transporting unregistered animals!" She yelled in her annoyingly shrill voice. A tired looking officer stepped out of the police car. He looked at you, and then to a man beside you. 'Oh shit, I didn't even see that guy!'

"Sir, have you seen any animals in or around this car?" The officer asked. The man shrugged "Nope, the last animal I saw was a dead squirrel somewhere down the road." He said. The officer nodded and began ushering the screaming Karen back to her car before driving off.

The mascots stepped out from behind the station to follow you again. "I don't know who you are, but thanks!" You said to man as you got into your car. He gave you a thumbs up "no problem man." He opened a can of monster energy and waved as you left.

You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding "That was close." Banbaleena nodded in agreement next to you.

The drive was uneventful after that, a few stops for bathroom breaks, Banbaleena threw up on the side of the road, and Tamataki got hit in the face by a confused bat.

It was 1am when you finally got home. With everyone claiming rooms again, setting up blankets. Banban walked into your room hesitantly "Could I sleep in your room with you? I didn't want to bother you before, but I've been having nightmares almost every night." He spoke softly, "Of course you can! I'm so sorry if asking you to talk about Flynn has been weighing on you like this, I had no idea-" you said worriedly. "Y/n, no, It's not because of that, I've been having these nightmares for years. I appreciate the concern though." He replied.

You helped him lay out a blanket next to yours. You both lay with your backs to each other,
"Y/n, do you think maybe tomorrow we could talk about the nightmares?" Banban whispered from beside you.
"Yeah, as long as you're comfortable with it. Goodnight Banban."

"Goodnight Y/n."

-POV:Banban's Nightmare-

Empty rooms leaking out into distorted hallways, Banban ran through the twisting hallways. Faceless scientists in their lab coats peered blankly from the doorways as the walls narrowed. Banban halted at a dead end with a familiar looking scientist facing the wall. The man's neck cracked as his head turned unnaturally.

Banban screamed as his human face began to distort horribly. Something snared Banban away, "SEE? THEY'RE JUST AS BAD AS I TOLD YOU!" Echoed Flynn's shout as the his tentacle crushed Banban. *S nap *    * s nA.   P*    SN. -.,   -A !) - P*
"F////LYN. -N StO-(((+ P! 1I1! C -   .,""" N'T
BR^><#%?<EA-.,::;)TH. —   E!"

And then he woke up.
