Chu Feng's P.O.V
"Sit and tell me your problems. I will solve them with a snap of my fingers then tell you all about your future," I lie, getting fully into the character that I have to perform for my Lady Bai.
I pray that Lady Bai will have enough time to do all she needs to do.
They sit down on the sandy ground while I continue standing, towering over them.
They begin to tell me their problems and how life is treating them.
This is a chance for me to convince them to work for Lady Bai, I think after hearing their troubles.
"My children, you are going to face bigger problems in the near future," I say, making use of what the huge man threatened with earlier.
"Tell us how to solve them, divine master," they chirp in unison, struggling onto their feet to perform the kowtow once again.
It's working!
"My children, my great great great-grandchildren! You and your clans will be dead in two years, leaving you with no descendants," I say, mimicking a sorrowful voice.
They begin to perform their kowtows again and start begging pitifully, "Please give us a solution. Please master!"
"There is a solution, don't worry. One option would be to leave the Scars and run far away, never return to avoid danger. The other option is to stay, but my advice for you is to do whatever you and your hearts want to do," I say, trying to sound philosophical as I dive deeper into my false character.
They pull open their lips and are about to speak when I hear the galloping of horses. Oh no! Lady Bai! Making a swift decision, I run from there. I am about to enter the Manor when the sharp tip of a sword is pressed into the tender skin of my shoulder, cutting through the fabric of my clothing.
"Stay right there; don't you dare move!" demands a voice from behind me.
I suck in a deep breath and halt. I wait until he dismounts his horse and starts making his way towards me before I spin swiftly, drawing out my sword to slice his throat.
At the sight of blood spewing from the man's slit throat, the rest all charge at me.
The next few moments are filled with clashing of metal and battle cries, but it all ends quite soon, surprisingly.
When everyone is dead on the ground, I realise that the two foolish men have help me to kill them.
"Chu Feng!" I turn at the voice and realise that my lady is running towards me, her worry clear on her beautiful face.
