Chen Qi comes out after some time, surprisingly calm. She takes a glance at him before running to Chu Feng, who has emerge from the manor behind Chen Qi.

She begins scouring for any injuries and lets out a sigh of relief when she finds none. "Are you alright?".

"My Lady, I am alright, nothing happened to me Let's get out of here. It is dangerous to stay here for long," he assures her, grabbing her hand and leading her away.

"Why can't you be grateful, Yang Tian?" Chen Qi calls out from behind her. She glances over her shoulder and sees Chen Qi walking up to her with his fighters trailing behind him.

"How did you get him out in only a few minutes?" she questions when he stand in front of her.

"That's what you say to me after I help you countless times? I don't hear a thank you from you," he says with a bitter chuckle.

He walks past her. Calling after him, she yells out, "Thank you."

He freezes for a moment before continuing on with his fighters.

Chen Qi's Manor

Chu Feng is paces around the room, causing Zanilla to stare at him.

"Do you think what I did was wrong? I didn't thank him but I still don't know how he got you out," Zanilla frets.

Chu Feng meets her eyes and ceases his pacing to sit on the chair opposite her.

"I was wondering that too. How did he succeed in releasing me? He just walked into the room and cut the ropes off my hands and legs, completely at ease. I know releasing me isn't supposed to be easy but the people who kidnapped me are definitely not The Scars. It must be someone very powerful in the capital," he asserts, deep in thought.

"Do you think he is part of the people who murdered my parents?" she asks.

"Yes but there has to be a reason," he replies, his fingers rhythmically tapping the table, deep in thought.

"I think we should go to Liang now. There is no other option. Jîu Jiu should know about this, He has to know... I have to know everything behind my parents' death," she says, uncertainty clear in her voice, before she stands up.

"But we should really thank Chen Qi so he won't be suspicious, and think we're ungrateful," she adds.

"But-" Chu Feng was about to argue.

"No buts, let's go," she chides, dragging him away.
