"Babs, want to go to the club after work?" Barbara shook her head, showing her tired eyes. She was eager for a good night's sleep after working straight for two days. "I'll pass, I'm pretty tired..." She yawned and started packing her stuff.

"Why did I have to park my car so far away from the hospital?" She questioned herself, walking down the quiet alley in the middle of the night. She heard a moan coming in the alley and went to find out about it. In front of her, was a man in a black leather jacket, and a red helmet . He was shot at his arm, and was bleeding.
"Are you okay sir?" She asked. It was a dark night and she couldn't really see his face. "Help me..." His voice was trembling from the pain and blood loss.
"The hospital is near, let me take you to it." Barbara said, anxiously. She hadn't seen someone being shot for years, and it gave her bad memories. Her father was shot while encountering a criminal, and it killed him. "No hospitals..." A small voice said.

Huh? Why can't he visit the hospital? Is he a criminal or something to avoid being arrested? Questions popped up in her head. She reminded herself that she was a doctor, and shouldn't abandon anyone who needs rescuing.
With only dim light, she performed first aid, tore a piece of her shirt, making it act as bandages. Taking off the man's leather jacket to add more support, she saw the symbol on his clothes. The bat symbol. Despite being shocked, she continued the operation without hesitation.

When she finished aiding the man, he got up, and came to the light. He looked familiar, but she didn't know who he was. She had the experience of being shot, by the Joker. The incident crippled her for months, and she was near being paralyzed. Barbara lost all her memories before her tragedy, only knowing her dad from the people who came to see her in the hospital. She worked harder, and became a surgeon, wishing to save lives.

The second he laid eyes on her, he recognized who she was. The fiery red hair, the long eyelashes and the gentle look of her green emerald eyes. Sadly, he knows that she had lost the memory of him.
"I stopped the blood from coming out, but you should get proper treatment quickly." Her voice sounded worried. "Thank you for your help," He glanced at the ID card she was wearing, pretending not to know her name. "Thank you, Doctor."

"It's the duty of a doctor to help whoever needs it. I'm Barbara." She said proudly, raising her hand. Their eyes meet. The man shook her hand and said, "You can call me Jason."
That sounds... familiar. She thought. He let go of her hand, even though he wanted to hold it longer. "Thank you for your help. I must be going. If I see you again, I'll repay you for what you did."
"Let's leave it to fate."
"I happen to know him." He chuckled and went on his way.

The red head stood there, gazing upon the sky above the buildings that the man disappeared in. "A weird night for sure." She muttered, and got in her car.
