chapter 9

Scarletts pov
Once colin and I arrive in colorado, we take a cab to Daves House. "Scar are you sure you want me to come?" Colin asks as I unbuckle my seatbelt "of course I am Col" I smile and we both get out the car. I ring the doorbell and Sarah answers with a smile "hey, come on in. You must be Colin" they shake hands and we stand in the lobby. "Y/n is upstairs in her room, I've told her you've arrived but she doesn't seem to want to come down. You can go up if you want" Dave tells me softly "thanks. You alright to stay here?" I ask my husband who nods. I walk up the stairs and Sarah shouts which door is y/ns. I take a deep breath before knocking on the door twice, I wait in silence for if she wanted to talk "it's me, Scarlett. Can I come in?" I ask and the door opens. I smile at y/n who looks at me "hey sweetheart, how you doing?" I ask trying not to push her "alright. I've packed my suitcase and bags" she says opening her door wider so I can see in. Two suitcases and a luggage bag on her bed already to go. I smile softly "are we going now?" She asks looking at her feet "yeah but only if you want to. I don't want to freak you out or anything. We can stay in colorado for a bit and do some sightseeing and then go to LA if you need some time to take it in. I know this is scary for you" she nods slowly and looks up at me "I'm okay, we can go" she smiles "I brought Colin with me, he's downstairs but I can tell him to wait in the cab" y/n shakes her head and grabs her suitcase and a bag. "Can you take the other one for me?" I nod "of course I can" I follow her down the stairs to the hall where Sarah and Colin and Dave are. We put the suitcases down "this is Colin" I tell y/n "hi y/n, your moms told me alot about you. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you" Colin says, y/n looks up at me and smiles making me do the same back. "Honey, is there anyone you want to say bye too?" I ask "I've already done it, they are all at school anyway. I just need to say bye to Sarah and Dave" she says "okay, we'll take your bags out to the cab" I tell her.

Y/ns pov
I watch as Scarlett and Colin take my stuff out to the car and then turn around to Sarah and Dave. "Thank you for looking after me" I say and they both smile widely at me "no, thank you for putting up with us. We are going to miss you" Sarah says and I hug her tightly. "It's been lovely yo watch you grow and turn into the woman you are today. Keep in touch" she adds "of course I will". I hug Dave as he ruffles up my hair "dont forget about us squirt, you were always my favourite" he jokes making me laugh. "Scarletts going to take really good care of you, I promise. She's your mom so remember to tell her things" I nod understanding on what Sarah's telling me "I will. You were like a mom and dad to me aswell, I just thought I should tell you guys that". Sarah gets tears in her eyes "I love you so much" I smile at her goofy faced "I should go. I'll message you". I wave as I walk over to Scarlett "all ready? Got all your things?" I nod and wave to them one last time before getting in the car. I'm sitting inbetween Scarlett and Colin in the back of the cab so it's quite squished. "Is the airport okay? Or is there somewhere you want to go first?" Colin asks "the airports okay" I answer taking a nervous breath looking at my knees. I feel scarletts hand touch my cheek and her thumb moving hair out my face "its okay. We're going to look after you" she says sympathetically and gives me a soft kiss on my hairline. "Scarlett, when will we get to your house?" "In the evening, the plane is only two and a half hours but if there's anything you want to do on the way, just say" I nod "okay. Will Rose be there?" I ask. Scarlett smiles softly "she's at my mom's today but tomorrow I think they are coming over" I yawn making then both laugh "tired?" Colin asks and I nod "I was packing since four this morning" I tell them both "you can sleep, we'll tell you once we arrive" scarlett says.

Scarletts pov
We finally arrive at the airport and the cab pulls up right outside the terminal. Y/m fell asleep and rested on shoulder which is adorable because her little cheeks are so mushy amd chubby. "Y/n wake up" I whisper nudging her slightly, she sits up and rubs her eyes sleepily "we're here" Colin says and she looks around. We put on our caps and sunglasses and get out the car. Y/n takes her suitcase and Colin helps with some of her other luggage because she's got loads. "Stay with us okay, it's going to be really busy in there" I tell her as we start checking in, y/n hands me her passport to look after which I do and the three of us finally make it through to our gate. "Do you want to sit near the window or in the middle or on the edge?" I ask "um the window if that's okay" I nod "of course it is, you go first". We board the plane and I sit next to y/n who's sitting next to the window "Scarlett" y/n says with worry in her voice "yeah" "I've um I've never been on a plane before". I smile softly and hold her hand "it's not scary I promise, except from the toilets they are a bit loud. A lady comes around with a trolley and drinks and snacks which you can have and i also have these" I rummage through my bag and find a mint "it's for when the plane takes off, sometimes my ears pop so yours might too. Just suck on it and it helps" she takes it from my palm "thanks". I explain to y/n about the briefing of the healthiest and safety so we all watched and listened to that then the plane started making noises ready to take off. I watch as y/n grips onto the chair and squint her eyes shut as much as possible "hey its okay" I reassure taking her hand. She squeezes it tightly and the plane starts to move "I don't like it" "I know" she berries her face into my neck and I hold the back of her head with my hand. The plane speeds up running down the runway and she grips my hand tighter and tighter "I've got you, your safe. Your safe with me. Mommys got you" I reassure her and watch her leg bounce up and down. Colin looks at what's happening and puts his hand on y/ns leg to comfort her "it's alright kiddo" he whispers. I smile at him and turn my attention back on y/n "s-scarlett" "I know baby" I kiss her head just as the plane takes off. "You did it see, we're flying" she let's go if my hand and looks out the window before turning back to smile at me "thank you" "your so sweet, I love you" I smile making y/n smile wider "I love you too".
