What?

What is going on?

Why are my senpais asking me for help?

Am I just a pawn to them?

Ayanokouji hesitated and let his internal thoughts and monologue run through his mind. Ayanokouji knew that Nagumo is playing him as a fool. He purposely taunted and mocked Ayanokouji's position as president by calling him a big shot. Then, Nagumo compared his presidency to Elder Horikita's thus looking down on him and his abilities.

Nagumo must be baiting me and try to see if I have any insecurities. He's probably too focus on his war against Horikita-senpai then on me. He's mostly likely going to go after me once Horikita-senpai graduates. Good thing I haven't shown my true abilities otherwise this conversation would be totally different.

"Nagumo-senpai... what do you mean join you?"

"Ayanokouji, you can't fool me with this pathetic acting of yours. I know that Horikita-senpai has told you all about our little war. Drop this act."

Damn. I really should practice on lying and acting. The instructors didn't teach this in the White Room. Maybe I should ask Kushida for some assistance.

"Nagumo-senpai... why should I join? The student council must be neutral towards an student affairs and cannot show any bias or favoritism towards any students."

"You see... Ayanokouji, that's where you wrong. No matter how a person or organization claimed neutrality, there's always going to be bias. There's nothing to be guilty of. Horikita-senpai, if given a choice, would be more favorable towards his class than any other class. Besides there's no rule that explicitly stated that student council members can't get involved in other student's business."

I see. Trying to reassure me that bending the rules is allowed and he even used Horikita-senpai as an example to try and reassure me more. Good thing I read the school rules and the clauses regarding the student council.

"Nagumo-senpai, although there's no rule that explicitly stated that student council members can't get involved in other student's business, if there were a conflict in these businesses and I was involved with it, I cannot deal with the conflict at all because of my involvement and supposedly bias. Due to being the only member of the student council, it would mean that the student council cannot deal with the conflict and student administration would have to deal with it."

This makes me look like a by-the-books type of president and remind him of Horikita-senpai, always following the rules, traditions, and customs of the school. Hopefully, this allows me to dodge the original question and buy some times. I don't have any intentions on joining yet.

Nagumo laughed as he walked closer to the president's desk. He leaned over and placed a hand on the president's desk.

"Very well, Ayanokouji. I see that you don't want to join yet. But don't worry, my invitation is still open for you."

Ayanokouji looked past Nagumo and saw Kiriyama and Asahina finishing packing up their belongings and walking towards Nagumo.

"Oi Nagumo. We should leave and not bother the president anymore." said Kiriyama.

"Stop shoving a stick up your own ass, Kiriyama. There's a reason why you guys from class B has been demoted. I'm just having a friendly chat with my favorite kohai." smirked Nagumo.

Kiriyama scowled and opened his mouth in response.

"That's enough, you two. Can't you see you're bothering Ayanokouji-kun?" said Asahina.
