The morning after our wedding reception was a whirl of activity. Awakening in the soft comfort of our bed, San was peacefully sleeping beside me. Glancing at the clock, my eyes widened - I had a doctor's appointment in just twenty minutes!

Barely able to contain my gasp, I tumbled out of bed, stumbling over my own feet as I tried to gather my clothes. The room was a mess from our wedding night and I didn't have the time to find anything coordinated. Finally, I managed to pull on a comfortable pair of pants and a shirt, before rushing to the bathroom.

I tried to tame my unruly hair, running my fingers through it in an attempt to make it presentable. As I brushed my teeth and washed my face, my eyes caught sight of the new addition to my hand. A gleam of silver caught my eye, and I looked down to see the wedding ring. A squeak of happiness escaped my lips, the reality of the previous night settling in.

Just as I was rinsing my mouth, I felt two arms encircle my waist. Turning around, I found myself staring into San's sleepy eyes. He pressed himself against my back, nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck.

"Why are you in such a hurry, love?" San murmured against my neck, his voice groggy from sleep.

I let out a soft chuckle, leaning back against his warm chest. "I have my last definitive check-up before they take me off the medication, love. And I'm going to be late if I don't leave soon."

I gave him a quick peck on the cheek before disentangling myself from his grasp. He let out a low hum, a disappointed pout forming on his lips. But he understood the importance of the appointment and simply nodded, his hands slipping away from my waist.

I hurriedly grabbed my coat and keys, heading towards the door. Before I left, I turned back to look at San, still standing in the bathroom with a soft smile on his face. It was these quiet moments, these snapshots of our life together that I cherished the most.

As I opened the door, I threw him one last smile. "I'll see you soon, love." And with that, I stepped outside, ready to face whatever the day had in store for me.

The drive to the hospital was filled with a sense of hopeful anticipation. I was married to the man I loved, had two beautiful children that were my world, and was preparing for a dream honeymoon just tomorrow. Life couldn't get much better.

Upon arriving at the hospital, I switched off the engine and took a deep breath, letting the contentment wash over me. I stepped out of the car, my pace quickening as I made my way towards the entrance. Waiting there, much to my relief, was my doctor, an understanding smile gracing his face.

"Good morning, Wooyoung. Ready for some blood tests and a little chat?" He greeted me warmly, his tone light.

Returning his smile, I nodded. "Good morning, and absolutely, let's get this done."

He led the way to the examination room where they would take my blood and conduct a quick scan. Despite the slightly clinical atmosphere, there was a sense of positivity in the air. I felt ready to face whatever came next, because I knew that whatever the outcome, I wouldn't be facing it alone.

Once we arrived in the examination room, the doctor explained the procedure, ensuring I was comfortable with the process. I've been through this countless times before, so I simply nodded and rolled up my sleeve, ready for the blood test. I couldn't help but watch as the needle went in, a slight pinch barely registering before it was over.
