So now we were just talking about random stuff until his friends arrived.
"Oh, hi guys!" Calum greeted them and I just stood there with Leonie, smiling.

"This is Hayle, my friend and also my new neighbour. That's her sister, Leonie. Their family's just moved here from France. They're gonna go to our school." He told them.

I and Leo said hi and Calum introduced them.

"So, this is Luke abd his girlfriend, Gabriela; that's Michael and his girlfriend, Brittany; and that's Ashton and his girlfriend, Leah. They're all in love."

"Oh. I guess Calum, Leo and I are the only people here without a partner." I joked.

"Yeah! Single for life!" Leo said.

"Yeah, dude!" I laughed.

"But, I mean, don't think you want to remain single, do you?" Calum asked me.

"I would date a person if I liked them, haha. Obviously." I told him.

Did he just..?

"Okay, so should we start?" I asked them.

"Finally!" Gabriela said and Luke just kind of kissed her cheek. (What?¿)

Leo and I sort of exchanged looks and Calum just couldn't stop laughing.

He looked so nice. His eyes twinkled while he smiled too and that just UGH.

"What?" Gabriela asked.

"They're just jealous of our relationship, babe." Luke told her and hugged her from the side.

"Aw, I love you, Lukey." She told him.

"Me too, Gabi."

Leo and I just burst out laughing at that and I don't know why but Michael and Brittany burst out laughing too. But weren't they a couple as well? They were probably laughing at our laughs because trust me, Leo and I did not have cute laughs.

So everyone else started laughing too. I already liked these people.

I don't know why, but Calum kept staring at me. I was obviously staring too because otherwise I wouldn't know that he's staring at me.

He looked so cute, ugh.

"Hahaha.. okay let's make teams now. The team captains will be me and Luke, does anyone disagree?" Calum asked.

"No!"

"Okay, so first Luke picks a person, then I do, then he does, and like that we'll continue, okay?"

"Yeah, okay." Luke said.

"Gabriela." Luke looked at her and smiled.

Obviously he was going to pick her. After all, they're in LOOOVE.

"Hayle." Calum said.

Wow, he picked me first! Was this, like a sign or something? I was probably over thinking it.

"Yay!" I smiled at him and he did too.

So, Calum and Luke chose their members and this is how it went: Luke's team - Gabriela, Michael and Brittany; calum's team - me, Leo, Ashton and Leah.

It wasn't even but we didn't have any other choice so might as well go with it.

"Calum, there was no point in choosing me, I'm not good at soccer." Leonie told Calum.

It was true, but she was good at basketball.

"Oh really? Hayle, do you play well?" He asked me.

I was about to reply when Leonie practically screamed, "are you kidding?! She's great! She was on the girls' football team back in France! You should see her play! Oh, my god!"

I just laughed and said thanks.

"Oh, my god, really?! Wow, that's awesome! HEY GUYS! We got a pro in our team! Y'all gonna lose, bitches!" He said to Luke and his team.

I was still laughing.

"Wow, Hayle!" Leah said and shot me a thumbs up.

I said thanks to her too and Ashton just smiled.

Luke said, "Oh no! We should've picked her! Bad luck, haha! But it's okay, it's just a game."

So, we started the game and by now, our team had 4 and Luke's had 2. HAHA, losers!

"Huddle up, guys!" Calum called us out and our team gathered around.

"Okay, listen, the only people that are playing here are me and Hayle! Are you serious?! I know we're winning but at least join the game, guys! Ashton just stop making out with Leah for once! Leo, you can just try to play, at least! But thanks, Hayle, it's because of you that we're not losing!"

Then calum just started laughing and so did everyone else, including me.

So, now we were 6:2! And then Calum's mom announced that we won!

YAY! I always win. (I'm not a rude bitch, okay.)

Calum and I were the only ones so focused in this game. Our expressions just said it all.

So when we won, calum just kind of started running towards me. I thought he was going to congratulate me so I ran to him and.. actually just jumped on him!

Like in movies. HAHAHA.

I really wanted to win, okay?! I always do. I'm very competitive.

I don't know why I jumped on him. We weren't even that close! But, at least it wasn't awkward.

"Oh, my god, Calum! We won!"

"I know! It's all because of you! Congrats, Hayle!"

"No, it's because of US! Thanks, congrats to you too, calum!"

My face was so close to him, I could just kiss his full lips, but I didn't, obviously. Because that would've been really creepy and also because I never have the guts, even if the person I like could be my best friend!

"Ooooh! Hayle and Calum sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Leonie started laughing.

But we hadn't kissed.. um wut?

Everyone else started laughing and gathered and the opposite team congratulated us and shook hands and all that.

Leo came up to me and hugged me. "Congrats, Hayle!"

"Thanks, you too! But why did you say that?"

"Oh, hahaha, just like that. I was joking!"

"Ohhh." I started laughing too.

I looked at Calum and he was, in fact, blushing.

What?
