Knock Knock Knock

I get up from my bed, slightly annoyed by my last interaction with Eli. And the worst part is that he didn't even say bye, he just up and left without a word.

"Did you forget som- Oh! Robert!" Beth suddenly appears behind me, stuffing her face with popcorn.

I fully expected it to be Eli standing at the door. Instead, I see Rob standing in front of me with my favorite carnations in hand. "Hi! I hope I'm not a bother...I was actually wondering if you would like to go on a date with me. We could go anywhere you'd like." I've never seen him so nervous before. Granted, I've only seen him two other times.

"Yes Robert, I would love to. Just let me get ready" I move to the side, inviting him in, "Oh these are for you! I noticed you never bought them during our first interaction so.." he says handing me the red and white flowers.

"They're beautiful! Thank you!" I quickly put the flowers in a vase before grabbing Beth's hand, heading into my room, and leaving Rob alone on the couch. I know well enough not to leave Beth with any of the two boys.

I close my bedroom door and head straight for my closet, Beth sits on my bed. "What am I supposed to wear to something like this?" I say rummaging through my closet.

"How about this?" Beth pulls out a white, ruffled romper. It's cute but I'm worried that it's too short. I don't exactly want everyone to see my ass. "Come onn! It's perfect, cute and casual at the same time!" Beth says, trying to persuade me to wear it.

"Fine!!!" I quickly get changed, do my hair in a spiky bun, and add some finishing touches to my makeup. "How do I look?" Spinning around for Beth to see.

"Sexy! Now go gettum tiger!" She says as she pushes me out the door.

- Rob's POV

As I hear the door open I turn my head and see Anna. She looks stunning, she always does.  I think she could tell I was staring because Beth came up to me.

"You're drooling." She whispers. I wipe my face, slightly embarrassed. "You ready to go?" I ask grabbing my sunnies and wallet. "Yup!" I go to grab her hand but before I can Beth steps between us.

"You listen here mister." She says wagging her finger at me "You be good to her, don't have her home too late." I back up, a bit scared of her. "And no funny business, you got that!"

"Yes ma'am," I say like a scared schoolboy.  I quickly grab Anna's hand and we are on our way.

"Sorry about her," Anna says as we exit the apartment building. "Ahh it's no problem, I understand."

"You look great!" I continue.

"Thanks, I had a little help." She says sheepishly, "I think you look quite nice too, what is that? mermaids?" She says referring to my shirt. "Yea, they are actually. I had to put on my nicest shirt for you."

"Anyways, where exactly are we going today?" She asks "Anywhere you'd like! You name a place and I'll take you there!" I say grabbing her hand, swinging it back and forth. "How about we have a nice picnic? We could have go to the craft store and grab some painting supplies too! Painting Picnic!" She has no idea how adorable she looks when she gets excited.

I call a cab and we head to the nearest craft store.

"where should we settle?" being the gentleman I am, I was carrying the painting supplies and the bag of groceries we picked up for the picnic. Needless to say, my hands were full. Anna tried to help but I insisted on being the one to carry everything. Well, almost everything, Anna was carrying the blanket.

"Right here!" Anna lays the blanket right under a tree. "The perfect spot," I assure her. I grab out both sandwiches and the chips we bought.

"How about we paint first?" She reaches for the bag of art supplies, "I don't know what to paint." I tell her. "Why don't you paint something you find beautiful?"

I immediately grab one of the paint markers and get to work. "What are you painting?" I look up from my work of art.

"I can't tell you." With a smile on her face, she starts to turn, hiding her painting from me. "Why? What are you painting?" She looks up at me.

"I can't tell you." I give her a flirty smirk and continue with my painting. I want it to be perfect!

"Okay on one we'll flip our paintings." She says with the most adorable grin on her face. I just nod.

"Three" the sun is hitting her in the best way, highlighting all her beautiful features.

"Two" Is it possible I'm falling for her already?

"One" We both flip over our paintings to reveal that we painted each other. Hers was undoubtedly better than mine.

"You painted me!" She reaches for the painting to observe it "You said to paint something beautiful." I say with a straight face. She has the widest smile on her face when all of a sudden she starts crying.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I scoot closer to her and wrap my arms around her. "Nothing! These are happy tears, no one has ever done something this nice for me!" She nuzzles her head into my neck and I rock her back and forth. "Hey, you painted me too!"

Her painting look like it belonged in an art museum. It was perfection simply because it was made by her.

For the rest of the day, we ate our sandwiches, admired each other's paintings, and joked around a lot.  With the afternoon sun beaming down on us, I never wanted this moment to end. We cuddled up and exchanged embarrassing moments from grade school. Anna even tried to explain the plot of the gossip girl to me.

"And then Blair and Dan start hanging out, however, nobody knows. So eventually they have a kiss only to figure out that they don't like each other like that-" She's flailing her arms around explaining it to me.

"Wait- I so Dan dated Serena but also kissed and kind of liked Blair?" The whole show was so confusing to me but I could tell A was having a blast explaining it to me.

"Exact-" Just then I can tell she's fighting sleep. "Hey, wanna go back to my place and take a nap?"

"I'd actually like that, yes." We gather all our stuff and head to my and the boy's place. They shouldn't be home. Josh and Ryan were out doing who knows what and Eli went to his parent's place. It's not like I was planning on doing anything, I just didn't want them asking questions.

"Don't worry, the mates aren't home," I say as I lead her through the house, into my room closing the door. I quickly grab out an old t-shirt for her to wear and head into my bathroom to change into my joggers. When I walk out I'm shocked by how much better she wears the shirt than me.

"What?" she says shyly "nothing." I grab her hand and lead her to bed. We cuddle and talk about all kinds of stuff and before I know it we're both fast asleep.
