Chapter 3: To Fight or Not to Fight

Narrator: It looked like Guilmon was going to turn Takato into a Nlue Plate Special, but all Guilmon really wanted to do was play. Rika and Renamon took on Goblimon, who ended up Digivolving without a Tamer. Though the fight ended before Y/n and Impmon could get there. Guilmon followed Takato and Y/n to school, and ended up teaching the principal a whole new definition of "playtime." After Guilmon took off, Takato and Y/n met another Digimon Tamer named Henry and his Digimon, Terriermon. When Takato finally found Guilmon, Rika and Renamon showed up and spoiled the reunion. That Rika sure has a funny way of making friends.

Guilmon was still on the ground groaning.

Takato: What was that all about?

Rika: That was your Digimon eating dirt.

Takato: I saw you in my dream. No way. It can't be.

Rika: So you're a lousy Tamer and you're weird. And your friend is... whatever. Now am-scray unless you think you can handle us, little boys.

Takato: I am not either a lousy Tamer, and what do you mean, little boys? Guilmon is just young, that's all.

Rika: Like Tamer, like Digimon. Come on. He's at least a Rookie, right?

Takato: Yeah, well, at least I think so. That's what I was going for. You know, I've never done this before.

Y/n: Cut him some slack, he just got his Digimon recently. Same with me, by the way.

Rika: Oh, how great. Renamon?

Renamon stepped forward.

Takato: No, wait, call her off. Come on, we don't want to fight.

Rika: I knew you were just a little boy with a pet Digimon. What do you think Digimon were made for, you goofy little gogglehead?

Takato: Uh, that's like asking the meaning of life.

Y/n: Takato, I don't think her or her Digimon are in a talking mood.

Impmon: Seems more like they're in a fighting mood.

Renamon: For goodness sake, let's just get this over with.

Renamon jumped in the air.

Takato: Guilmon, run away!

Y/n: We've got this. (pulls out a card and his Digivice) Impmon.

Impmon: Right.

Renamon: Diamond Storm!

She launched Diamonds at them, but Impmon with a big tail with a blade at the end deflected them all.

Rika: What?

Y/n: Digimodify. Scorpiomon's Tail. I can't believe I got it first try.

Impmon: You wanted a fight, so here you go.

Guilmon: Pyrosphere!

Guilmon shot a Pyrospere at Renamon who dodged.

Impmon: Guilmon stand down. I'll handle this.

A small flame formed on Impmon's index finger.

Impmon: Bada Boom!

He threw it at Renamon, but she dodged again.

Rika: Come on, sometime today.

She was using her Digivice's data mode to find out about Guilmon, but it had no results.
