As he promised, Martin checked on Candy again, to make sure she was safe. She was a nervous wreck after all the times she had been ambushed and snatched up off her desk for malicious purposes, so she was constantly watching her back. The tension and alertness of her surroundings interfered with her work productivity, but Candy had no control over the matter. She was scared.

The end of her shift approached, and she wasn't sure what to do. Luckily, Martin came by to see if Candy wanted to keep him company during his overtime punishment, which she happily agreed to. He whisked her away to his desk and she flirted with him as he typed on his computer. She admired his large, prominent features, sculpted to perfection as he focused on his work. His thick eyebrows gave him an intense look. She still marveled that such a big, handsome Giant like him was interested in a shrimp like her.

When his extra hour of drudgery was up, Martin asked Candy if she wanted to come home with him again, which of course she was ecstatic to acquiesce to. He swept her off her feet and carried her to his apartment, taking care to avoid Ronny on the way out. Candy felt like she was in a marvelous dream that she hoped to never wake up from. She spent the whole weekend with Martin, getting to know him better. He showed her more of the Giant city, including the quaint little hobby shop where he bought all his model vehicle kits. He bought her more human-sized items so she would have additional comfort while staying at his house. He took her out to the movie theater, went for a walk in the park, treated her to sweets at the bakery. They were madly in love and enjoyed every second together.

Martin checked with Candy to see if she wanted him to take her home, but he didn't question it when she preferred to stay with him. He assumed she wanted to be with him as much as he wanted to spend time with her. He relished every moment he could be close to her, reacted with pleasure to her lightest physical touch. She made him feel alive in a way he hadn't been in years. Before she came into his life, he had been reclusive and antisocial. He stayed at home and passed the time building his little model cars and planes, wishing for more. His life had been dull and boring and lonely. With Candy, everything felt fresh and new. She helped him see the world in a new light. She was a shining star of joy in the dark velvet of the night sky. He cherished her. He adored how small and cute she looked, sitting in the palm of his hand. He had told her how he always liked small things, but he had never considered how delightful it would be, to have a petite little woman to call his own, small enough to fit in his pocket. He wanted to keep her with him forever.

For her part, Candy's whole universe revolved around Martin. When she was with him, she forgot all her other problems. She forgot how broken she was, homeless and penniless and hopeless. She forgot about all the harassment she had to face from Ronny and Mr. Hardon at work. She forgot about the product demonstration and manager meeting she had scheduled for Monday. He made all her worries dissolve into nothing. He made everything right.

The weekend breezed by, and Monday morning rolled around all too soon. Candy was sleeping better on Martin's chubby belly than when she was camping in the office, but she was not yet accustomed to his thunderous snoring. Thankfully, he didn't snore all the time, only occasionally. She knew better than to try and wake him up, after the mishap where she fell into his mouth. The alarm clock on his bedside table blared an obnoxious chime and he slapped it with a gargantuan hand and groaned. He stretched his titanic limbs and Candy felt his powerful muscles flexing underneath her within the great expanse of his body.

"Morning, my little cupcake," Martin yawned. He scooped Candy up in his hands and sat her on the bridge of his nose.

"Good morning, my love," Candy uttered in return. She hugged his big nose and gave him a kiss. Martin smiled, crossing his eyes so he could behold the tiny woman.
