|WARNING: SPOILERS| EDIT 7/2/2024: BAD AND OLD ART
After the battle with Scourge and Unicron, us Autobots and the Maximals decided that Earth should be our forever home. Noah took me back to New York with him, his suit reminding me of my crush, Mirage, which makes sense since he sacrificed himself for Noah by letting him (Noah) take the wheel.
Things haven't been the same without Mirage. I've laughed a lot less and become more quiet. I never got to tell him how I feel. But I'm glad that Noah is attempting to rebuild him. There's a slight chance I'll see my best friend again! Besides, he's almost done!Just a few tweaks and Mirage is back!
"Yo, Shifter! Wake up," I hear a familiar voice say. A voice belonging to Noah Diaz. I transform out of my motorcycle form, revealing my gold robot body with scarlet streaks. "Good morning to you, too, Noah," I say sarcastically.
"Girl, don't be so grumpy," he says. "Maybe I wouldn't be if you didn't wake me up," I say, putting my robotic hands on my hips. "Well, sorry, but it's ten in the morning and you need to stretch your wheels before you become more grouchy," Noah says while opening the garage.
"Touché. See ya in ten," I say, turning into my motorcycle. "How 'bout twenty?" he says. "Ha, ha, sure. Whatever," I say before taking off.
|Twenty minutes later|
I come back home and I cannot believe my optics. There he was, standing right there, online and functioning. "Mirage!" I say, running over to him and slightly jumping up to hug him since he's a bit taller than me. In the corner of my optic, I can see Noah and his friend, Reed, slinking away. "Hey, Shifter! It's been a while, don't you think?" Mirage says, hugging me back.
I pull away and punch him playfully. "A while? It's been forever, you goof!" I say. "Really? Didn't seem like it to me," he responds. For the first time in forever, I laugh a bit. "What I'm trying to say is that I missed you," I say, turning serious. "I missed you, too," he says.
"I literally haven't been the same! Like I never smiled and/or laughed as much since you've been gone. And now that you're here, I can finally be myself again!" I say, looking into his blue eyes. "Well, I'm glad you're smiling again," he says while resting his servo on my faceplate.
I give him other hug, Mirage immediately returning it. "I love you as my best friend," I say. "Really? Cause sometimes it feels like it's more than that," he says. "What are you saying?" I ask. "I'm saying that I feel like we're more than just best friends, ya know, Shifts?"
"Like, best, best friends?" I ask jokingly. "No, more than that!" he laughs. "Oh," I respond, realizing what he meant. "What I-I'm trying to say is..." he trails off. "You... love... me?" I finish for him. He slowly nods. Mirage smiles awkwardly, which I know is a 'yes' because I've known him all my life.
"Well, it might not surprise you that I love you, too," I say. "Wha - really?" He asks just to make sure. "Of course I do! Ever since we met!" I say. Mirage smile, a little less awkward. He walks closer to me and places his servo on my faceplate again.
"Then you won't mind if I do this," he says. Before I can say anything, I feel his metal dermas press against mine. I gladly kiss him back, my optics fluttering shut. Mirage pulls away and smiles. "Hey...uh... Shifts?" "Yeah?" "I was just wondering if you'd - you'd be my sparkmate?"
"Like you even needed to ask!" I say before leaping into his arms, smiling the biggest smile in the world. Mirage chuckles a bit and embraces me back. "I am so telling the guys!" he says. Oh dear...
