Elaxi and the other bots are playing a game Russel introduced them to called Try Not To Laugh, which you had to act funny to make others laugh. While the others had their turns, Elaxi kept on skipping her turn, concerning her teammate, Sideswipe

"Lax, why aren't you acting? I bet you you're the funniest out of all of us!" he says, nudging her a bit. "Thanks, Sides, but I just don't want to. I'm not the best idea bot out there," Elaxi says, looking down glumly.

Sideswipe couldn't help but feel bad for his teammate. He wraps an arm around her and pulls her closer to him. Elaxi looks up at him and smiles sweetly, a blue hue appearing on her faceplate, the same thing with Sideswipe. After a bit, Elaxi is announced the winner because she laughed the least.

She walks back to the underground base the bots and humans built, her pedes slightly, but sadly dragging on the ground. Sideswipe watches as Elaxi enters her berthroom. He feels that something is bothering her. And he wasn't the only one.

"Hey, guys, I feel a bit worried for Elaxi. She's been feeling down for about a week now and I mean, she's been smiling, but you can see right through them," Bumblebee, the team leader, says while looking in her direction.

"I mean, she smiled, a genuine smile, for a moment when I pulled her closer to me to comfort her when we were doing that game earlier, so maybe she's going through something. I'm going to go check on her," says Sideswipe.

He walks to Elaxi's berthroom and knocks on her door. "The door is open," says a voice. "Lax, is everything okay?" he asks, entering her room. "It's nothing..." she says, turning away from him.

"Lax, I've known you long enough to know that it is not just nothing," Sideswipe says, crossing his arms. Elaxi sighs in defeat, turns back to Sideswipe, meeting his optics. Sideswipe quietly gasps what he sees that Elaxi has tear streaks down her faceplate. A few tears were still falling.

"Lax, tell me what's wrong," he says. "How about I show you?" she asks. She points to her left pede and lifts it off the ground painfully. "It's been sprained for weeks. Imagine fighting, driving, running, and even walking with a sprained ankle," she says.

"Geez, and you've been like this since when?" Sideswipe asks, walking over to her and inspecting the ankle. "Since we came to Earth," Elaxi says. "It's the reason you have been skipping your turn. You're hurt and in severe pain, so you can't do the things you love!" Sideswipe realizes.

"Yep, just don't tell the others. I've been meaning to ask Fix It to help me heal it, but he has been a bit busy lately," Elaxi yawns. "Well, see you tomorrow, Sideswipe," she says, going to her berth. "See ya," he says walking out of Elaxi's berthroom.

"Well, how is she?" Bumblebee asks. "She's just a bit homesick. But she just needed a few comforting words and a hug. That's all," Sideswipe responds, shrugging it off.

|The next day|

~Elaxi's POV~

We're fighting a Decepticon right now and oh my Primus my ankle is killing me! When we get back, I'm so getting Fix It to check it out. Ow! Okay, it really hurts to dodge, well isn't that great?

"Elaxi!" I hear my femme bestie, Strongarm call my name. I then look around and see that my teammates are having trouble getting back up after being beat up by this stubborn con. I race around the Decepticon, a ring of fire around him.

I then jump up and suddenly, life is in slow motion for a second. I realize that I'm about to kick this guy with my left leg, which has the bad ankle. I try to pull back, but it's too late. I hit the con, my ankle exploding with pain.

I fall to the ground holding my ankle. "Elaxi, what's wrong?" Grimlock asks, picking up the unconscious Deception. "My... ankle..." I manage to wheeze out, tears pricking at my eyes. "Lax, look at me. You're going to be okay," Sideswipe says, holding my head up so I can look at him.

"It really doesn't feel like it, Swipe" I say painfully. My world starts to go blurry and the bots' voices calling my name are muffling. Then, blackness.

"Oh my Primus, she just passed out!" Sideswipe says. He picks Elaxi up and starts walking back to the scrapyard. "You know, Sideswipe, I feel like Elaxi has been in pain for much longer than this," Bee says, catching up with Sideswipe.

"That's because she has. She said last night that her left ankle has been hurting her a lot since we came to Earth," Sideswipe says. "You told me she was homesick!" "She didn't want anyone to know! She didn't want to hold back the team," Sideswipe says.

"She wouldn't hold back the team! We can go on missions while she's healing. And when we even need her, we can just contact her and she'll be right there!" Bee says. "But what if it's broken, o-or cracked? She might not be able to transform for a while! She won't be right there!" Sideswipe snaps.

"Wow, who triggered the protective sparkmate?" Bee teases. "Say what?" Sideswipe flusters, a blue hue on his faceplate. "We're not sparkmates!" he yells. "Yet," Bee adds. "Shut up!" Sideswipe yells, making Bee laugh.

"It's seems that she has cracked her ankle in three different places. It's definitely gonna take a while to heal," says Fix It. "I told you it was cracked, Bee," Sideswipe says, shooting him a side eye, or should I say, a side optic? Huh? No one? Man... tough crowd..

Bee rolls his optics when Elaxi starts to wake back up. Sideswipe grabs her servo, and squeezes it, her responding with a squeeze.

~Elaxi's POV~

I wake up to the others surrounding me as I'm on my berth. "Rise and shine, Lax," says a familiar voice. "Oh, shut up, you," I say, making everyone laugh. "Alright, now everyone please get outta my room while I talk to Sideswipe for a bit. That includes you, too, Fix," I say.

Once everyone was gone, Sideswipe and I wrap up in a tight embrace. "Thank you," I say, pulling away from the hug and giving him an honest smile. "For what?" he asks. "For keeping my secret, although it was not so secret when I kicked that Decepticon straight in the face..." I say, laughing a bit.

"Yeah, I'm actually quite impressed that you knocked out a Decepticon that big with an injury. You're stronger than you think, you know," Sideswipe says. "Thanks, Sides," I say, placing my servo back in his.

He gives me a small smile. "Can I just say something?" he asks. "Yeah," I respond. "You have beautiful, bright eyes," he says. I start laughing. "You doofus! We have the same colored eyes!" I laugh, throwing a random pillow at his face.

"No really, I mean it! Your eyes glow brighter than the others and I!" Sideswipe says. I stop laughing. "O-oh! Well - I - uh - thanks!" I say, covering my face with my servo.

"Hey, Sides, can you come closer?" I ask. Sideswipe leans in closer, our faceplates just about a foot away. With one swift move, I use my upper body strength to lean forward quickly and peck him straight on the dermas.

I pull away, a small, nervous smile appearing on my blue hued face. Sideswipe's face is a dark tint of blue, words lost. He looks at me and smirks. "Pfft. You call that a kiss? I'll show you a real kiss," he says. He leans in quickly and presses his dermas against mine.

My optics widen, until they close a hot second later. I wrap my arms around his neck while he is supporting my back. He pulls away after a bit and grins. "How was that for a kiss?" he asks. "Gold star," I say, dazed. Sideswipe laughs and leaves proudly, leaving me standing there for a while.
