Chapter 2 1983: the disappearing of will byers

well, your now in the 8th grade and you and Steve had a random falling out towards the end of 7th grade just a month before summer holiday started. One day you went up to talk to him and he just turned and left without saying why he was uninterested, and he won't answer the door when you go over to his house. However, you did get a boyfriend over spring break and you two started to hang out after school quite often. You miss Steve none the less, but it was his choice. Of course, you hope he will come around though. Without him to hang out with all the time you have started to hang out with your brother, Dustin, and his friends. About a week ago your brothers friend Will went missing while riding home on his bike after a game of DND at mikes house, another one of Dustin's friends. Everyone in town has been looking for him including all of the police force, a bunch of volunteers, and of course his mother, Joyce Byers. Some strange happenings have been going on the strangest would have to be that a girl with a buzz cut showed up at your brother's friend's house. Mike's house, to be exact. And she has some sort of telekinesis power, she says that bad men are after her and if they find her, they will kill her. Mike is hiding her in his basement and giving her breakfast every morning and leftovers at night. Every single person you know is talking about the disappearance and how nothing like this ever seems to happen in Hawkins. It's just a small town where nothing exciting ever occurs. Fast forward to two days later. You still haven't heard anything from Steve, but that's not your biggest concern right now. Will's body was discovered lifeless down in the quarry late last night. Every single one of Dustin's friends are in complete distraught. They've just lost their best friend in the whole world; the party just isn't the same without him. Joyce is on this big thing about how it's not really will and that her boy is still alive, nobody believes her rightfully so as cops positively identified his body when it was pulled out of the water. Dustin told me that Mike didn't show up to school today, he doesn't know whether this has to do with the girl that they just found or Will's so-called death. A funeral for Will is already being planned even though Joyce doesn't believe that it's actually her son they found last night. The girl that Mike found still hasn't shared much more information, but she did say that her name is Eleven and we're all calling her El for short. With all of this going on you just wish you would have Steve to talk to he would have understood everything that was happening and talked you through all of the bad spots. Your boyfriend just doesn't quite get you like Steve did he was your best most closest friend and the best thing you could ever ask for, you're so deeply saddened about change of heart he's had you go to sleep every night hoping you will wake up to him banging on your door like he used to over spring break in 5th grade when you would have to sprint to the front door before your mom yelled at you for the amount of chaos that was about to ensue if your brother woke up.( Authors note, I hope you enjoyed chapter two this is obviously the beginning of the enemies trope between the reader and Steve Harrington.)
