Chapter 3, christmas break: 1983.

Holy crap a lot has happened the funeral went through with Will but right before Joyce was still having doubts that that wasn't her son's body so Hopper being the amazing hero he is, found an excuse to go back into the morgue and examine the body, turns out it was a doll completely fake but very realistic on the outside. He told Joyce about this and a bunch of stuff went down that I'm not supposed to know about according to the "adults" but they saved him from this place called the upside down and he has a lot of trauma but I'm just so happy that my brother and my brothers friends have their best friend back, now if only I could get my best friend back I'm missing more than anything, I can't believe I didn't even get a goodbye I still go to sleep every night hoping he will come around. But he never does. Just a couple more months and then I start freshman year I'm so nervous but also So excited I can't wait to experience high school everyone you know Says it was a horrible experience but you're secretly hoping it's the change that you need maybe you'll make a new best friend and you can forget about Steve Harrington though I don't think that's quite possible he changed everything in your life he made you feel so safe coming from Nevada when you knew nobody and you had no one on your side in the rough patches of your life. you and your boyfriend really don't Hang out that much anymore and they're starting to think that he might be seeing someone else behind your back, you don't know what to do whether to break up with him, confront him, you just have no idea. Normally this is something you would ask Steve and he would bounce back with the perfect answer to whatever problem you were facing, but now you just don't know what to do without him. Later that night you're lying in bed when you get a call from a girl who you would talk to in a couple of your classes she tells you that she saw your boyfriend with another girl at the theater they were kissing in the backrow, Water starts to collect at the bottom of your eyelid, your lips are trembling, you've now lost everyone all you have is your annoying younger brother and his party. You try to thank her for this information, but your voice is cracking so much she thinks you're cutting out, who are you supposed to talk to right now you don't have Steve, you don't have a boyfriend, and your brother is just not in the mood for girls or any relationships so you can't really speak to him about any of this stuff. Your mascara is smeared all down your face. you have no idea what to do, you just roll over and hide your face in your pillow and try to sleep. but you can't you're up all night tossing and turning, maybe an hour's rest at most.( A/N there is going to be some progression with Steve next chapter I won't make you wait too long :).
