"I believe I owe you a date, handsome," Jungkook said, smoothly, standing at Taehyung's door and holding a pink rose.
Taehyung, who'd just opened the door, giggled and took the rose.
"I believe so," he replied.
"Ready to go, then?" Jungkook smiled, holding his arm out for Taehyung.
Taehyung nodded, and hooked his arm into Jungkook's as he left his house, locking it.
"I thought we could take a stroll through the park before heading to the restaurant," Jungkook said, "how does that sound, honey?"
Taehyung grinned, kissing Jungkook's cheek.
"That sounds lovely," he replied.
It has been two weeks since their trip, and finally they were both free, both having time to go on that promised date.
Jungkook, at the office, had clumsily asked Taehyung out, causing a sort of scene.
"U-um, ah, uh, erm, will you, uh, g-go out with me, please?" He asked, holding a pink rose out to Taehyung, who was sitting in his cubicle.
"Erm, I really like you and would be honored if you went on a date with me. So, uh, erm, what do you say, Taehyung?"
And Taehyung had giggled for ten minutes straight, holding the rose as if it was attached to him, as he recounted the event to everyone in the office who was willing to listen.
"You're much more charming this time around," Taehyung teased, patting Jungkook's butt affectionately.
Jungkook blushed, and glared down at Taehyung.
"Hey," he said, "I'll have you know, me being nervous to ask you out was the highest form of flattery."
Taehyung giggled, rolling his eyes, "okay, Jungkook-ah. Believe what you will."
They walked through the park hand in hand, Taehyung holding his new pink rose, and talked about mundane, everyday things, such as getting the groceries, dusting, how annoying it is when there's no toilet paper left on the roll- Jungkook had gotten hilariously passionate about that last one, and all Taehyung could do was giggle fondly at him.
As they got to the restaurant, Jungkook pulled Taehyung's chair out for him, pushing it back in before getting to his own chair.
"You look simply ravishing tonight, Taehyung, honey," Jungkook said, looking at Taehyung's marvelous maroon suit.
"As do you, my dear," Taehyung replied, taking in Jungkook's tan suit.
Jungkook batted his eyes at Taehyung, both of them breaking into quiet laughter.
All too soon, Jungkook was walking Taehyung back to his house.
They made it to the doorstep, and stood there for a moment.
"This has been the best date I've been on," Taehyung admitted, shyly.
"Really?" Jungkook asked, "well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, honey. I look forward to the date you take me on."
Taehyung giggled, "I'll do it more sophisticated than you, for sure."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Jungkook grinned.
"And thank you for walking me back," Taehyung said, and then began rambling about how it was unnecessary but a very gentlemanly gesture that made him feel giddy but he felt guilty because Jungkook had to pass his apartment complex on the way to Taehyung's house.
Jungkook cut off his ramblings when he leaned forward, grabbing Taehyung's chin gently, and softly attached their lips together.
Taehyung's words were cut off abruptly, but he wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck immediately, kissing Jungkook back.
