Taehyung opened the door of their hotel room.

Jungkook had obviously claimed the bed closer to the window, farther from the door, as his stuff was already on it.

The bathroom was occupied, so Taehyung began unpacking his belongings.

Jungkook came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, dressed in pajamas and his face clearly freshly washed.

Taehyung merely glanced at him, continuing to unpack.

"You're seriously unpacking your suitcase?" Jungkook asked.

"The hell do you mean?" Taehyung asked, "of course I am. We're here for a week."

"I just leave everything in my suitcase. It's easier to pack it all back up that way," Jungkook responded, as he began setting his full bags on the floor.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, and ignored the boy.

Jungkook began crawling under the sheets of his bed when Taehyung walked to the bathroom, holding his hygiene products.

As he was setting his stuff down on one side of the counter, the other already occupied by Jungkook's stuff, the bathroom light turned off, and the door of the bathroom shut.

Taehyung jumped, startled, and then huffed.

He turned the light back on and opened the door.

"Really, Jungkook?" He yelled, "are you five?"

He paused, his anger faulteding when he saw Jungkook was frozen in bed, looking at Taehyung with slightly wide eyes.

"I didn't do that, Taehyung," he said, "the door just shut on it's own!"

Taehyung scoffed.

He was unsettled, because realistically, Jungkook couldn't have turned the light off and shut the door, then get back in bed before Taehyung took those two seconds to reopen the door.

He walked back into the bathroom, and began getting ready for bed.

When he left the bathroom fifteen minutes later, jungkook was already asleep, his phone turned on in his hand.

Taehyung got in bed and turned the lamp off, and began scrolling through Instagram.

Suddenly, a message from Jimin popped up.

It was two long messages that read:

Tae! Hoseok and I were talking in the hall a few minutes ago. Then an employee came down the hall. I think she was just giving more towels to a room, cause she was carrying towels. Anyways, Hoseok and I were saying how creepy the floor we're on seems. We're on the sixteenth floor, btw. Which floor are you on? Anyways, we were saying that right as the employee passed us. And you'll never believe what she said! She turned to us and said "it's funny you say that. This hotel is supposedly haunted." So Hoseok and I turned to each other and we were like whattttttttt. And we turned back to the lady and we were like whatttt? And she said "yeah, I've only been working here for a few months but the employees who've been here for some years say it's haunted" and she told us even some of the guests have told her stories of what have happened like !!!! Wtf !!!! Tae Tae the stories the lady told us we're so scary!! 😰

So she told us that the employees hear footsteps a lot when no one is there. Even on the stairs. they've said sometimes the elevator opens or dings or the floors starts changing all on it's own !!!! And also she said they've seen shadow figures in doorways and stuff. She said some guests have reported hearing someone humming in their hotel room before, but it's only ever been reported on the fifteenth floor (that's so scary cause that's the floor below Hoseokie and I). Someone also said in one of the rooms, she didn't say which floor, there was something that would constantly turn the lights on and off and open and shut all the doors so much that the woman staying in the room left without her stuff and without checking out 😰😰

Taehyung felt chills reading his friend's messages.

He wasn't sure if he believed in ghosts or not, but what a coincidence that the lights turned off and the door shut when Jungkook was supposedly still in bed, and now Jimin informed him that the hotel was supposedly haunted, and both of those things were anomalies that happened here.

He glanced at the bathroom door, which he'd left open, and stared into the dark room within.

He felt too scared to continue looking, so he turned on his side.

Jungkook's phone was still on, and it was positioned where it was illuminating the sleeping boys face, startling him so bad that he tumbled out of his bed.

He fell to the floor and winced as he felt a bruising pain on his tailbone from the fall, and then scrambled to get back in bed.

He was so thankful the boy was asleep, because that fall was humiliating on its own.

He texted Jimin back, telling him not to say such things when it's nighttime, and informed him that he was on the fifteenth floor.

Jimin texted back saying he hopes Taehyung doesn't get dragged to the underworld by demons in his sleep, which did not help Taehyung's anxiety about the hotel being possibly haunted.

Eventually, after an hour of laying in bed, Taehyung managed to fall asleep.

Jungkook woke up in a cold sweat. His heart was racing as he tried to get his vision in order.

He'd just had a nightmare that he was walking down the dark hallway of this hotel floor, when the floor opened up and sent him plummeting down.

Upon reaching the ground, Jungkook found himself surrounded by shadowy figures, which looked like people, staring at him with dark abysses as eyes.

They slowly got closer to him, suffocating him from how close they were, leaning down to get in his face.

He woke up when one of the figures put a hand on his shoulder.

Jungkook looked at the clock on the nightstand between the two beds, it being four in the morning, and then looked at Taehyung, noticing the boy was asleep.

He saw something move, however, and looked to the doorway of the bathroom.

His heart stopped.

There was a dark figure, so tall it almost touched the ceiling, standing in the doorway of the bathroom.

As soon as Jungkook looked at it, it darted into the bathroom and out of view.

Jungkook turned around to face the window instead, the curtains drawn.

He pulled his blankets over his whole body, and was somehow able to fall asleep a few hours later.
