JJ's POV
Midtown High

"Yo there's Kie. You gonna ask her?" Pope asked putting his hand on my shoulder.

Kiara was walking with Sarah, when Sarah walked off into a classroom. This was the perfect time to ask her out since she was alone, but I didn't have the courage. I was too much of a coward. "I'll do it later" I sighed as I pushed his hand off. "I have to find the perfect moment and the perfect gift..." I thought to myself.

I looked at my phone then back up at the small building. "Guess this is it" I slipped my phone in my back pocket and walked into the shop. I looked around the store for some sort of jewel to buy for Kiara. I found a small heart ruby necklace with a tiny arrow going through it. I picked it up carefully and observed it. "Perfect" I said under my breath. I took it to the counter and bought it.

After I decided to get some lunch. I made my way towards the pizza store, when I saw Kie taking pictures of the city alone. I crossed the road and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey Kie. What are you doing out here?" I asked as I thread my fingers through my hair.

"I was just about to go have some lunch" She grinned. "I know a great pizza place if you wanna join me" She grinned then adjusted her backpack.

"Yeah sure" I nodded and followed her. We arrived at the huge restaurant called Joe's Pizza. We sat down and ordered our pizza. "Pineapple on pizza, yes or no?" Kie asked me as she placed her elbows on the table and rested her head on her hands.

"Pineapple is a fruit not a topping" I scoffed and she laughed. "I know right! Why do people think it tastes good?" Kie furrowed her eyebrows. We both laughed until I cleared my throat and took out a small bag.
"I found this and thought you'd like it" I handed the bag to her.

"Aww JJ you didn't" She gasped with a happy frown. She opened the bag and pulled off the wrapping. Her mouth wide open and eyebrows raised high. "OMG, it's beautiful. Thank you soo much"

I knew it was a good idea. I know my girlfriend soo well. I chuckled awkwardly. "It's nothing" After a couple minutes of chatting, our pizza arrived. I picked it up and held it in my hands, even tho it was burning my my fingertips, I took a small bite and my mouth started to burn like hell. "Shit!" I threw my pizza back down on the plate. I grabbed the can of beer and changed half of it down.

Kiara laughed like a maniac. Was it that funny? "It literally says caution hot" She giggled some more.

Her laugh was so cute.

Our pizza was almost finished and it was almost time to leave, but I didn't wanna leave her side. I think I must've been drunk because I had the sudden urge to ask her out.

"Kiara" I spoke with a small smile. "Yeah...?" She replied, gazing into my gray-blue eyes.

This was it. Just spit it out JJ. Ask her on the damn date. The worst that could happen is... nothing?

"There's a art museum I know and since you like art so much. I was thinking we could go, together" I lowered my head and fidgeted with my rings nervously.

Please say yes. I will shoot myself in the head if she says no.

"Yeah sounds great" Kie replied excitedly. "I kinda owe you for the pizza and the beer" She joked rolling her eyes playfully. I instantly smiled from her simple yes. I couldn't believe the love of my life agreed to a date! Oh wait, it's not a date.. yet.

Shit. I better ask her.

"It's a date" I lifted my head and smiled with my lips tucked in my mouth. She widened her eyes. "I was wondering when you were gonna ask" She giggled as she placed her hand on mine. "I'm glad you asked"

My heart was beating out of my chest. Her hand felt soft and cold. "Saturday at 12?" I asked confirming the date. She nodded. "Hang on. I wanna take a picture to remember this moment" Kie picked out her camera and held it up against her eye adjusting the focus.

I took a bite of the pizza and pulled it away from me, streching the cheese. I looked into the camera and grinned with the pizza in my mouth. "Cute" Kie admired the photo on her camera.

"Could I see some of your pictures?" I said with a warm smile. She handed me it and I flicked through.
"You're photography is incredible" I gasped with my mouth slightly agape. "Wow. That's an amazing shot of me" I said under my breath, admiring the Spider-Man photo.

She was so cute. No wonder I love her.

I held the door open for Kie as she walked out and I followed her behind.We walked in silence for a minute, when I spoke. "I could walk you back home if you like."

Kiara shook her head. "I don't think my dad will appreciate a boy bringing me home, yet" She explained with a sigh.

"Alright" I nodded as it was her decision. "Guess i'll see you at school" She said parting from me.

"Mmm. Bye" I waved as she walked off. Kie vanished from my sight. I placed my hand over my heart and felt it beating like crazy. "I luv her so much"
