This story takes place in an alternate universe (AU) where, as depressing as this sounds, Stranger Things never happened.
We follow Jacob Stevenson, a 22 year old male who is dealing with severe depression and even suicidal thoughts. He goes for a walk one day near a beach and trips and falls on a rock. Someone asks if he's alright. Jacob looks up... and meets Caleb McLaughlin.
Caleb is mostly a model for magazines and fashion shows, but found acting roles in Concrete Cowboy and Shooting Stars.
Caleb and Jacob become close friends. BEST friends.
But there's a problem.
Jacob has a secret. One that's tearing him apart, but Jacob knows if Caleb finds out, it'll tear their friendship apart. And if Jacob loses Caleb as a friend, he doesn't know if he'll survive.
I admit I am picturing myself as Jacob, and I want to stay anonymous with these Caleb fanfics I do xD.
Which means, YOU get to decide what Jacob looks like. He is a 22 year old male named Jacob Stevenson, but appearance wise, you get to decide.
The story of course primarily stars, alongside Jacob, Caleb McLaughlin.
