Chapter 7: C3

Hikari POV:

Two days passed since the incident with that green haired subclass along with the clown and puppet master, Himari was still in the hospital recovering. Her dad scolded her with tears streaming his face and then he said that Himari should take a break from her classes, and currently, she and I are still at the hospital— her reading a manga and me just looking at the window.

"I wonder if Mahiru and Misono are doing well?" Himari wondered outloud

"I'm sure they're doing fine." I said as I turned around to face her "I'm going out for a bit. Want me to grab you something?"

"Choco shake please~" she grinned

"Rejected." I deadpanned

"WHY?!" she exclaimed with tears

"Because you are still recovering!" I argued

"Ok." she dejectedly mumbled

I sighed deeply, "Euphie will stop by later." I said as I go out the door

"Hai~~" she sing-songed

"I'll see you later, alright?"

"Ok. See you later, Hikari."

As I step out the hospital, I walked through the streets looking for the nearest cafe. I know I rejected Himari's request but maybe just this once. As soon as I saw a cafe, I went inside and then proceeded to order an Iced Americano paired with a chocolate cake. I also ordered a take for Himari and Euphie, as I wait for my order at the table I sat at. I felt a presence approach my table, I then looked up only to frown in annoyance.

"What do you want, Toma?" I said with a frown

"Calm down, I ain't here for a fight or anything." Toma said

"Then why the hell are you here?" I said

"Can't a student visit his master?" he said

"Student, my ass. Since when did I became your master?" I said

"Ever since I joined the organization." he said

I sighed, "Come on, take a seat dimwit."

"Excuse me?!" He exclaimed in annoyance as he sits at the same time "I am 192 cm in height!"

"Don't care." Just then my order came "Oh. Can I ask for an additional order?"

"Sure, miss."

I then order a black coffee for Toma and the waitress immediately went back after, "Now then, I know you aren't just here for a visit. I mean I haven't heard from you for years now."

"Toru also came back so I decided why don't I also drop for a small visit?" Toma said 

"Toru? Shirota Toru-kun?" I said

"Is your memory getting old, you hag?" He grinned

 "Call me hag one more time and I will kill you." I growled as I took a bite of my chocolate cake

It didn't take long for his coffee to arrive and I thank the waitress for her hard work. He took a sip of his coffee as he also hand me two letters, "The one with a flower seal is from Asteria and the other is a letter from main HQ."

I frowned when he said the other letter was from the main headquarters of C3, "How did you even got the letter from Asteria?" I asked

"When I went to London, I saw her...with that werewolf friend of yours." Toma said

"I see." 

Then he stood up and bowed to me, "I'll take my leave then, Asami-sensei." he said as he left

"...."

 I don't know what C3 has in mind but I won't let them get close to anyone I care for...

After finishing my cake, I then proceeded to the counter and paid for my dine-in order and take-out and headed back to the hospital

I still regret what I did a hundred years ago...I know Ash won't be able to forgive me but its for their sake...at least that is what I believe...
