"Scardy cat"
"Hey!-..." James didn't want to admit it, but that one actually hurt.
Sam noticed the other's ears droop down and lay sadly on the top of his head "Hey, just because you're a little scared of one thing doesn't make you a scardy cat, I'm sorry"
"It's okay"
James was still upset about it, obviously, but didn't want Sam to feel bad or something so he lied: but it was clear to Sam the other was still hurt by his words so that was kinda fucking pointless.
Sam made a mental note to apologize again later once the mission was over.

"Grumpy cat"
"I'm not a grumpy cat" Bucky said and crossed his arms over his chest. Sam just gave him a look and Bucky gave a look back of 'yeah you right but I'ma still be mad.'

Sam placed a kiss on the crown of his head, just between his ears which twitched with delight when he did so "I made you some hot coca" Sam said with a soft smile, gazing gently into those ocean blue eyes as he sat the mug down on the table.
Then he just walked away, leaving a shocked and surprised Bucky sitting there in awkwardness, slight blush on his cheeks as butterflys flipped in his stomach. Mouth agape and eyes wide he sat there for who knows how long until he snapped out of his trance and remembered what he was doing, the sweetness of the other lingering aggressively in his mind.
