Ponyboy's POV

It was 10:30 and Rain wasn't up. Normally Rain is up at 6, I was getting worried that maybe she snuck out. Since Rain has her own room, her one rule is no one in her room until she's up. One time Soda made the wrong mistake of going into her room and jumping on her bed, trying to wake her up. Once she finally got up she walked right over to Soda and punched him in the gut, right in front of the whole gang. We were all shocked, then she whispered in his ear don't ever try that again. No one else ever tried after that. I really really wanted to go wake her up, even if she got mad it was worth. I asked Darry if I could go in to her room. He thought she was up but being lazy. So I quietly snuck into her room then just as she was about to roll over I ran and started jumping on her bed yelling get up get up. She sprang up so fast I bet she could fly, oh an she also screamed at the top of her lungs. It was so loud I literally fell off the bed in shock, she saw me and yelled PONYBOY! After that I ran as fast as I could to the door but she caught me before I could leave the room. Rain jumped on my back and started shaking me like she did the Soc. Darry heard the noise and ran down the hall and pulled Rain off of me. "what in gods name are you doing Raindrop Elizabeth Curtis?" Oo she's in trouble he used her full name. "Well why don't you ask Pony he'll explain everything." with that Rain walked out of the hall, I heard the fridge open then Darry started firing questions at me. "what are you doing, I thought you said she was up?" "Well I did sorta not really, I just wanted something to do I was bored. You shouldn't be that mad at me, I asked for permission. YOUR permission matter of fact." " Fine but your punishment is um um you can't leave the house today." " Easy." " Also if the gang or anyone comes over you have to go to your room and can't come out until they leave." "WHAT Darry, you know what fine I'll do it." I waked to go watch TV and eat as much cake as I could before anyone came. I heard Rain out on the porch, I thought it was best not to go and talk to her. she's probably still mad at me.

A/n

Sorry that was a really short chapter. expect a lot the last week of July and first two weeks of August. I have a 30 hour drive. and I have a story planned out. Spoiler something kinda big happens in the next few chapters.
