Kinjal POV
Kinjal walked in as she saw Anupama and Anuj pacing in their living room. Anupama had called Kinjal over for some emotional support, there were issues all over the place at the Kapadia house. First the havoc that Maya had caused, Anupama was going to the US and now there was an issue in the business. Apparently Barkha and her brother Adhik had caused numerous losses in the business losing almost 30-40% of their business. Anuj had called someone, whoever this person was, was the only person that could help them said Anupama. Kinjal walked to the kitchen to make tea for everyone, they were all anxious and she hoped the tea would help soothe their nerves. As she was preparing the tea she heard some voices from outside, she assumed it must be the person who Anupama was talking about. She stepped around to see who it was while the water boiled. She looked out to see the man behind Anupama, as Anupama moved happily she caught a glimpse, Kinjal stood shocked at what she saw. It was the same young man! This was who she had filed a police complaint against yesterday, the young man who beat up that other guy. Even now he stood with a cold side to him, greeting everyone with barely a nod of his head, he looked at Anuj and there was a flare in his eyes almost as if he didn't even want to look at him, yet he had come on his request. How could a man like this be of any help to any one let alone Anuj and Anupama thought Kinjal. Kinjal quickly picked up her phone and called the police. They must be looking for him and haven't found him yet, or maybe he bribed some constables to get away. He definitely looked like he had money, he wore another black suit, different than what he was wearing yesterday but still black. She called and requested the senior inspector to come, they replied they would send constables to arrest the man and the senior officer would be on his way. Kinjal waited anxiously as she hoped the police would come before Anupama or Anuj could pin hopes on this man. The entire Shah family also stood in the living room, they had come because the matter considered Pakhi as well and also because all they needed was an excuse for drama. Kinjal was sure both Vanraj and Toshu must be elated internally seeing the issues Anuj was going through. Kinjal had completely avoided Toshu, one of the main reasons for escaping to the kitchen. After what felt like hours the police was here, the young man stood with his back to the door while everyone else stood or sat in front of him. The constables had come and grabbed his arm before handcuffing it. They were barely able to move him, he stood with a slight confusion on his face yet calm. He seemed bored, "this is why you've called me" he said calmly. His voice was deep, yet soft or smooth. "What, what's going on here. Who called you guys and what are you going" said Anuj flustered. "Yes how could you just come in here like this and arrest our guest. Who called you guys" asked Anupama hurriedly. "I called them" said Kinjal as she walked up in front of the crowd. Everyone stood up and the young man stood behind everyone, calm as water. The inspector soon walked in and after seeing the young man's face ordered his constables to release him. "Why did you call the police" asked Anupama. "Because this man is a terror" said Kinjal. She stood behinf everyone out of the man's line of sight, she took a few steps until she could see the young man's face. He looked up at her and Kinjal caught the slight surprise that moved across his face, he stood looking at her still calm as ever. Kinjal pointed her finger at him before saying "this man is a terror Mummy. I saw him beat up a poor man in the rain outside last night. I recorded a video of him and I was the one that filed a police complaint against him, I saw him here so I asked the senior inspector to come and see him for himself as I didn't meet him at the station yesterday. He brutally hit the man and is now standing here so calmly. I don't think he could be of any help to you or Anujji." "Ma'am, your mistaken" said the senior inspector " this complaint is not valid. The original complaint was by this gentleman himself." Everyone looked back and forth confused, Kinjal was equally confused herself. She wasn't sure if the man had bribed everyone or threatened them or something because she saw him beat them up herself. How could he file the complaint she wondered as she looked at him. He still watched quietly, still looking at Kinjal, he was calm, still like they weren't talking about him, like he wasn't surrounded by the police or questioning eyes. Kinjal looked away as the senior office began talking again "Ma'am, how can we arrest him when he filed the original complaint. I just saw your video before coming here. The man in the video that he beat is the accused. That man makes his kids begs and sell items on the streets for money. Even yesterday in the cold rain the kids were outside trying to sell items when this gentleman saw them. He put the kids in his warm car and waited for their father. The man who you are trying to save is the same ruthless father, the kids also verified the same. The father is under arrest, this gentleman had called the police last night and filed the complaint against him. He was also the same person to drive the kids to the police station and ensure they were sent home safe. You must have drove by and saw something and assumed him to be the bad guy but the truth is something completely different." The senior officer looked at the man now and apologized before shaking his hand and leaving. "I knew you could never do something like this" said Anuj as he tried walking up to him before the guy quickly stepped aside. Kinjal looked on the man, he now dropped his gaze to the floor but not before looking up at her a couple of times. She couldn't read his face, he wasn't angry at her, his facial features hadn't changed but now she was embarrassed. She accused a good person that too in front of everyone. She thought he was the bad guy but she had just seen him hit the bad guy, not that that was acceptable but for what the man did to his children he definitely deserved a beating. Kinjal suddenly agreed with the young man, she was now intrigued by him and who he was. How did Anujji know him, where was he from and how could he help them? Several questions wondered around her mind all centered around this one mysterious man. He was mysterious but there was a strange calmness, strange affiliation she felt with him, maybe because she was the first to see him, even when she fell asleep last night his was the first face she saw. There was something about him, something that pulled Kinjal, she didn't know what but there was something for sure, that much she knew.
