"can you grab the copies for me?" Rebecca asks me and I hum walking to the back of the room where the giant copier is.

"how many is it?" I ask as it printed out more papers.

"40! its the new patient forms!" she shouts back making me hum as I watch the papers pile out of the machine.

The doors slam open making everyone turn to look, "cancel everything for the rest of the day!"  Dr. O'Rourke shouts running through the halls with a gurney behind him, on it is a giant dog, or wolf?

"come on Ella! your first hunting incident" Jackson runs after him with a smile on his face.

I look over at Rebecca who gives me a nod as I run down the hall after them fixing my hair as I grab a mask and follow them into the emergency room.

"what happened?" I ask putting the loops behind my ears looking down at the poor animal who's whimpering out in pain.

"hunting season, the poor wolf was caught in the cross fire" Dr. O'Rourke says as he starts an IV on the animal and checks its vitals.

"poor guy" I walk over slowly as it looks up at me with these golden puppy eyes, making me want to confront the little baby.

"I got the gauze and surgical tray" Jackson comes rushing back over moving around Dr. O'Rourke as he puts the blue cloth on the wolf whose eyes slowly close.

I walk closer petting the wolfs large head, I brush my fingers gently against his thick fur, "get me a gown and gloves, NOW" Dr. O'Rourke demands making me step back as my head snaps up.

One of the OR nurse comes running towards him putting the blue gown and stretches the gloves over his hands as she ties the face mask around his head.

"alright lets get the bullet out" he says walking over to the area that's already been shaved and Jackson hurries back over to my side as he leans forward watching everything that the doctor does.

"isn't this so cool" he whispers basically jumping on his toes.

"I didn't know wolves were this big" I confessed to him in a hushed tone.

"these are special Oregon grey wolves" Jackson answers in his normal voice.

"I believe a long time ago there was a mutation that made them larger and survival of the fittest happened so here they are" Dr. O'Rourke says without even glancing up at us.

"thats cool" I feel it slipping out of my mouth as my jaw drops while I watch Dr. O'Rourke pulling the bullet out while quickly clamping the where the blood was coming from because there's no more seeping out.

"how did you just do that?" I chuckle out watching in amazement as he starts throwing stitch after stitch into the damage the bullet had done.

He laughs lightly, "one day you'll be able to do this with your eyes closed" he mentions as I start at his hands while he starts lacing the skin back together perfectly, each stitch the same distance apart as the last.

"I hope so" I whisper out watching his hands moving like a dance as he pulls each stitch tightly, quickly and carefully.

"wasn't that amazing?" Jackson breaths out with a smile while we roll  the wolf to the outpatient room.

"it was pretty cool" I tell him smiling while I pet the wolf's fur down his head and we finish setting the bed up in the room as the monitor turns on with the rhythmic beeping showing that the wolf is okay.
