Chapter 2: From Hero to Zero

3rd pov

Scene opens to (y/n) running along the rooftops of tall buildings ranging from apartments to offices. They switch between variants to use their separate abilities

Your PoV

"Boost me!"
I call out to my other variants before a strong burst of air shoots me upward

"Wooo!"
I call out as I fall towards the next rooftop over

I land with a roll like many parkour artists on TV do before getting up to continue my run. Another leap over a gap sends me to the next building. But before I can land something hits me

Loose gravel-like stones on the surface gives each landing a slight crunchy sliding sound as I struggle to regain balance. I end up laying face down with some weight on my back

???: "what do you think you are doing?"

"...oww"

???: "get up young man"

Oh yea.. I'm currently a guy.. is this other guy gonna explain why he landed on me?

"Can you get off me first.."

???: "oh I am terribly sorry! Here, let me help you"
He picks me up and places me on my feet"

I look over him to see what I am dealing with. A dude, likely in his 30s, dressed in some 'hero' outfit with a Blaziken mask. Come to think of it, from that Blaziken who seems to be with this guy, the costume almost looks like a Blaziken, just with more pouches and red trims over the arms. Not to mention their matching red capes

"Just watch out next time, I appreciate it and all. But my life wasn't in danger just then.. maybe it was dangerous but still!"

???: "I- I see? What is with the outfit? You aren't trying to be a hero already? How old are you young man?"

"I'm 18! Which by the way, technically means I'm an adult"

???: "you must still be going to school though! You shouldn't be out risking your life when you should be stu-"

"-should be studying! I know. Look I gotta swing, maybe see ya later pal, also cool suit"
I say before stepping backwards over the edge of the building into a free fall.

With a thwip sound, a string of webbing attaches my right wrist to a nearby wall. Using this new web, I swing past the wall and continue to web-swing like Spider-Man.. which I suppose technically I have a variant who has Spider-Man's powers.. and another with Spider Gwen's. Meaning as either gender I can web sling, wall crawl and sense danger. Well assuming I have that variant active

Later that evening I sneak into a secluded area to change back into my casual clothing before I head home. Can't have my parents finding out about my vigilante work. Or worse. Someone could find out where this new hero lives and attack at any time.

Anyway- let's just get home and get some rest before school tomorrow

Getting everything sorted out for the day ahead, I finish brushing my teeth, make sure my bag is still packed with everything I will need, then I change into more comfortable clothing.

The next morning I wake up in a pair of my underwear and an oversized T-shirt, and in my woman form.

Getting up I throw on some pj shorts and go to get some breakfast. I pour a drink and place some bread into the toaster

Heading into the bathroom I wash my face and fix my hair into a neat pony tail. Returning to the kitchen I see my Mom making herself some tea.

Mom: "hello (fem), school today?"
