The hero and huntsman initiation is one of the hardest, demanding and longest testing procedure in the curriculum of Union Academy. This not only includes a physical test either in the field or in a simulated battle field, but also a written test.

(Y/n) has gone through the first exam prior to with questions on both what to do and how to act in certain situations. The entire exam hall is full with students taking the test, of which only 40% will be given a chance to move on to a physical test. Luckily (y/n) was one of those. But before getting a place in this class they must go through the exam chosen for them to complete

It seems the half of the variants have one exam in a mock city while the other half are out in the Emerald Forrest looking for a relic before returning to the starting point. This is where we are now

Your PoV

Emerald Forrest, isn't hard to see where it gets it's name from.. it's a forrest named after a shade of green, you do the math.. anyway.

Do a landing strategy, don't die from falling, find a relic, don't get lost forever, find a partner that you have to get along with or school will be hell, fight any monsters that you face or you will die just to find a relic

Wild: "Easy plan.. but the whole not dying thing kinda worries me"

Natural: "easy done.. one problem. What is this relic we have to find"

Traveler: "my issue is more about what are the monsters going to be? Like Hillichurls? Slimes? Erdrich being beyond our comprehension that feasts on human souls"

Wild: "I'm technically a Neko.. so I'll just run while it eats you guys"

Later during the other entrance exam

The quick presentation showed all the rules regarding the robotic enemies. One point for the smaller ones, two points are for smaller ones with melee and three for ones with range. The zero points are more blocky and seem to have limited mobility.

Amber: "why you think they asked us to take both exams? And why half of us for each"

Respawn: "probably because we fit these exams better"

Amber: "I mean the whole, three variants for each, why not just do it at separate times with all of us together?"

Slayer: "probably something along the lines of, "testing you on your individual strengths, and each of your individual's strengths?" Like since our variants have different skills?"

Amber: "I guess.. but that's like testing us based on how fast we are when we should be testing speed, strength and strategy"

Slayer: "but we don't always need all three. I mean look at the other test compared to this. This one we smash robots using a fighting style, the other we had to navigate a forest for a small item that we had no idea what it even was."

The announcer calls for everyone to go, with everyone hesitating due to how sudden it was

Announcer: "real life won't have countdowns to a threat, sometimes it just starts from nowhere. NOW GET TO FIGHTIN!!"

"That guy is far too loud and enthusiastic to need a speaker system.."
I say holding a palm over my ear

"Just lucky I don't have Wild's sensitive hearing right now"

Using Respawns web shooters I swing between the buildings following the road until reaching a 'city' square where a large amount of the robots are waiting. Most of the students start fighting the boys in their own unique ways. Instead of piling into the masses I pass and follow where the boys are coming from
