"Harry look!" Elizabeth pointed at the Great Hall ceiling as Professor Minerva McGonagall led the first years to the Sorting Hat, where they would be sorted into one of four houses; Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

Gryffindor, the house of the brave. The most chivalrous and courageous students will be placed in this daring house. House colors being scarlet and gold, every Gryffindor is proud to show their house pride.

The house of patience and hard work. That would be Hufflepuff. Colors yellow and black, every Hufflepuff is widely known as a loyal, compassionate and incredibly smart friend. Although the common misconception that they're "too nice" might get your ass kicked.

With incredible wisdom and intelligence, Ravenclaw students should never be held to low expectations as they will always exceed them. Blue and bronze represent this creative house.

Slytherin house has an unfortunate reputation considering the Dark Lord himself wore these green and silver robes. Slytherins are sly, cunning, sarcastic, ambitious and witty. Commonly known as the "evil house", you'll find the most loyal people in this house. A Slytherin would do anything for someone they care about. Just make sure you don't get on their bad side, revenge is one of their favorite things.

"It's so cool in here." Harry replied to his sister, "I can't believe any of this is real."

"Believe it." Elizabeth raised an eyebrow, "This is our lives from now on. We get to start fresh."

"Welcome to Hogwarts!" Professor McGonagall excitedly smiled at the first year students, "You will all be called to be sorted into your respective houses. Let me tell you just one thing," She said wisely, "The hat is always right."

"Your dad was a legend here." Ron Weasley, a friend the twins had made on the train, explained to them, "He was a Quidditch seeker. And he was very well liked."

"Really?" Elizabeth responded, "What house was he sorted in to?"

"Gryffindor of course. It would only make sense that the two of you followed in both your parents footsteps. Your mother was a Gryffindor too." Ron said

"How do you know more about our parents than we do?" Liz joked.

As more and more students were called up to be sorted, Harry and Elizabeth couldn't help but anticipate what their new lives were going to look like. Being raised the way they were, they never had anything to look forward too.

"Lilia Lupin!" McGonagall called. The young brunette girl emerged from the crowd and sat on the stool, letting the hat touch her head.

"Hufflepuff!"

She smiled and headed back to where she was standing before, next to a bleach blonde boy.

"Ron Weasley!"

The ginger anxiously sat in the stool, "Gryffindor!"

He excitedly headed toward the Gryffindor table where he sat with his three older brothers Fred, George and Percy.

McGonagall continued, "Draco Malfoy!"

The little blonde sat proudly in the stool. The hat barely even touched his head before it came to its conclusion, "Slytherin!"

He smirked and headed toward the Slytherin table.

"Harry Potter!"

Harry froze when he heard his name but Elizabeth gave him a small shove toward the stool.

"Hmmm.." The hat said, "You would be great in Slytherin.."

"Not Slytherin, not Slytherin, not Slytherin," Harry repeated.

"Not Slytherin, eh?" The hat scoffed, "Well then, Gryffindor!"

Harry smiled excitedly and ran up to his sister, "If I got in Gryffindor, you'll definitely get in too!"

She just shrugged in response.

"Elizabeth Potter!"

She gave her brother one last glance before sitting in the stool. Before she could even get comfortable in the chair, the hat had responded.

"Slytherin!"

Gasps echoed around the room as it fell to silence. Everyone's wide eyes were fixed on the ginger girl. As she stood up and walked over to the Slytherin table, she could hear the whispers.

"A Potter in Slytherin?"

"That can't be right. The hat must be wrong!"

"She's a disgrace to her family now that she's been sorted into Slytherin."

She quickly turned and angrily stared at the whispering students, "Keep running your mouths." She spat, "See what happens." She then turned back around and sat down at the Slytherin table sighing to herself.

"Elizabeth Potter."

She turned at the voice, "That's me."

"Elizabeth Potter in Slytherin." It was the blonde boy she had seen get sorted earlier, "That's quite the title."

She just rolled her eyes, "It's not a big deal."

"Oh but it is. Being in the same house as the wizard that killed your pathetic parents is the headline of the century." The blonde smirked, "I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy." He held his hand out for her to shake.

"Talk about my parents like that again and I'll kick your teeth in." She stared at him dead in the eyes before standing up and heading toward her brother.

"You can't sit over there, Potter. You're a Slytherin, remember?" Draco taunted as she walked away.

Giving him one last nasty glance she said, "I'll sit where ever the fuck I want."
