Irritated.

Elizabeth felt beyond irritated. She loved the Slytherin Dungeons. It was truly beautiful down there. Windows displaying the underneaths of the Black Lake, elegant lighting and velvet furniture. The only issue?

Her room just so happened to be right next to none other than Draco Malfoy's.

And Merlin, was he loud?

He and his cousin, Lilia Lupin, quite often spent their time together in his dorm considering Draco told her he "wouldn't be caught dead in the Hufflepuff Basement".

"This is ridiculous." Elizabeth huffed as she stared at the ceiling. She couldn't focus on her book with all the noise. She could hear the cousins' conversation as clear as day.

"I would never leave you at the Manor by yourself, Draco. You know that." Lilia had said.

"Well I just thought you might've wanted to go to the Weasley's stupid house for the Christmas Break." Draco replied sourly.

She could hear Lilia sigh, "Their house isn't stupid. Can't you just be nice to them for once? They're practically family to me."

"You and I are family. I win."

"This isn't a competition."

Elizabeth couldn't take it much longer. She stood up and opened her wardrobe. Grabbing a pair of sneakers, she left her dorm at 2:19 am despite the first year curfew being 10:30. Elizabeth found herself wandering the empty Quidditch Pitch thinking pointless thoughts while she hummed a tune she had heard in the Great Hall earlier that morning. The cold December air brushed against her bare arms. She glanced down at her wrists whilst trying to warm up. She stared emotionless at the scars and bruises covering her skin. Her aunt and uncle showed no mercy throughout she and Harry's entire lives, treating the two as slaves rather than children. Tomorrow was the first day of Christmas break and all students had the option to head home for the holidays. Elizabeth and Harry wouldn't be heading back home to the Dursley's. Merlin knows what kind of hell they'd be put through if they did.

"It's quite cold out here Lizzie." A voice said from behind her.

"You're out way past curfew." A second voice chimed.

She turned to face the Weasley Twins, Fred and George, "I'm just clearing my head. Why are you guys up?"

"Neither of us could sleep." George shrugged, "We've been planning our Christmas pranks all night."

"Christmas pranks?" Liz laughed, "Your poor family."

Fred laughed, "They secretly love it. They'll just never admit it." He said, "How long are you and Harry going home for?"

"We're not."

George looked puzzled, "What? Why not?"

"We're better off here." Liz explained, "We like it much better here anyway."

Fred and George exchanged looks, "Why don't you guys come to the Burrow for Christmas?"

Elizabeth shook her head, "No, we couldn't be a bother to your family-"

"The more the merrier! Mum loves you two. It'll be no problem, really. Besides, Charlie and Bill won't be there so you'll each have a place to sleep."

She stared blankly for a few moments, "We don't want to ruin your holidays."

"You'll do anything but ruin our holidays. We'd be delighted to have you guys for Christmas break. Come on Liz." George smiled at her.

"Fine." She sighed, "Thank you."

"Don't thank us. We were gonna force you two to come anyways." Fred raised an eyebrow, "Have you seen Lilia around anywhere? I know you guys don't really talk but she spends a lot of time in the dungeons so I figured I'd ask."

"She's in Malfoy's dorm. That's actually why I came out here. I was trying to read but the walls are paper thin and they wouldn't shut up." Liz laughed, "Just knock on the door."

"Thanks Liz, you're the best!" Fred said, "See you tomorrow morning!"

"Mhm." She replied as the two headed back toward the castle. She averted her eyes up to the stars which looked beautiful tonight.

And despite the freezing cold, Elizabeth was at peace.
