EVA AHN never would have thought that her upcoming school year would be this chaotic.
spending her summer break with her best friend, kitty, was just an ideal plan she had in her mind. after-all, the two of them have been inseparable since birth.
like every single summer, the two teens attended a swimming pool party and of course, eva was dragged to it.
"how are things going with you and dae?" eva asked her auburn haired friend.
"oh? it's going great! i do miss him a lot you know since we're long distance now." kitty responded on her yellow floaty.
eva hummed. she won't admit it out loud, but she's glad that dae isn't here for the summer. ever since kitty and him started dating, she didn't have enough time to hang out with her best friend. of course, she doesn't want them to break up because of her clinginess, so she's glad things are going good for her and dae and hopes her them to reunite soon. maybe the three of them as well.
"so what happened to that aussie guy you were talking to?" kitty raised her eyebrows.
"we stopped talking, he was a total red flag. he said i followed "too many" guys on insta, like why are you going through my followings in the first place? she scoffed.
"it's always the cute faced ones" kitty shakes her head in disbelief, before eva could continue, her friends phone started ringing, indicating a incoming call.
"oh my gosh! it's dae!" kitty shots up from her floaty as she answers the call. "dae? dae? hello? can you hear me?" she asks while putting her arm out to get better signal.
zoning out as kitty is on the phone. the girl takes a look around her surroundings, seeing couples everywhere, snogging each other and being all cuddly.
'ew' when will it be my turn? i mean, i used to think that i'm not looking for a relationship. but now that everyone has someone with them, i can't help to feel lonely. kitty has dae and all i have is a cupboard cut out of nanami. he's not even real!
"i gotta go, i will call you later. bye!" i hear kitty from besides me. she slaps my arm to get my attention.
"ouch! what the fu-" before i could finish my sentence. she shoves her phone to my face. i squint my eyes to see "K.I.S.S South Korea" displayed on her screen. my eyes widened as i shove her back, signaling her to answer.
"hello? this is she. oh my god... yes" she speaks through the phone. "twenty- four hours. i understand... yes! i officially accept. thank you so much!" she finishes the call with a gasp of displeasure "yes!" she squeals.
