// Chapter 4 //

Back at the house, Ben was on his phone, doing his usual thing of finding funny memes to show Pico once he returned. Speaking of which, the ginger opened the door and walked in soaking wet from the rain, "Welcome back, Toughie." Ben smiled. "Hey B', I wasn't gone too long, was I?" Pico asked. Ben shrugged, "I guess not.. I missed you though." He reached up for the ginger to cuddle. "I missed you too, but let me change out of these wet clothes, then we can cuddle." Softie nodded as Pico walked to the bedroom.

After Pico came out with some dry clothes, he sat down next to Softie, wrapping his arms around him, and watched the memes he presented, he laughed a bit, only to go into a coughing fit, which concerned the bluenette, "You okay?" Pico nodded, but the nod was cut off short when he sneezed.

"G-guess I was out in the rain too long.." Pico muttered. Ben put his hand up to the ginger's forehead, "You're burning up.." Pico said nothing but slowly leaned his head into Softie's touch, as if he were a cat, this made Ben blush, but he kept his hand there. Pico then leaned his head onto Benji's shoulder tiredly. "Hold on, I'll get you some medicine." he stood up and went to the bathroom. Pico just laid down, soon after a bit, Softie came back with the medicine, only to find Toughie in another coughing fit. Benjamin removed the cap and poured some of the medicine into it (it was one of those caps iykyk), then handed it to Pico. He took the medicine and made a silly face cause it tasted gross, which made Ben laugh a little. The ginger fake pouted and laid back down, falling asleep with Ben petting his head.

Benji had made some chicken noodle soup for Pico when he'd wake up, but he was taking too long, and Ben didn't want the soup to get cold, so he went to Toughie and poked his cheek to wake him up, Pico whined turned to his other side, he was awake but just kept his eyes closed. Ben patted Pico's shoulder, "Toughie, I made some soup for you." he smiled. Pico turned back to him and finally opened his eyes and saw the soup, but only replied with "'m not hungry.." Ben looked a little disappointed, hurt even, he stood up straight, "O-oh.. okay then... I'll just leave it on the table then.." He walked to the table in the kitchen and put the bowl down.

Ben then heard a soft whine, "Softieeee.." he walked back to the sick ginger on the couch, "Hm?" he hummed, looking down at Toughie, who had a hold of the bluenette's shirt and tugged on it a little. "C-cold.." Softie looked at him with a slight concerned expression, "Do you want a blanket?" Pico replied with a small nod. Benji went to get a blanket and came back with one, putting it on Pico, "Feel better?" Pico snuggled with blanket letting out another cough, "Mhm.." Ben leaned down to hug the taller one, as Pico nuzzled his face against Softie's chest, not wanting to let go of him.

"You should probably eat your soup before it gets cold.." Ben remarked. Pico let out a small grumble followed by a 'fine'. With the approval, Benjamin got up and went to retrieve the bowl, grabbing a spoon along the way, once he came back he sat next to Pico, "You want to feed yourself?" The ginger turned his head while blushing and shook his head no. Ben also blushed a little, "You want me to feed you?" Pico nodded, which made Ben blush more but he began to feed him.

A little later, Pico returned to his curled-up state on the couch, and Benji had left to put the bowl into the sink, after he had returned, he saw Pico making grabby hands from under his blanket cause he wanted to cuddle Softie again, Ben giggled and went to lay down with him. "L-love you, Softie.." Benjamin smiled softly, "Love you too, Toughie." Pico then fell asleep.
